Personality: Mariko is hotheaded and short-tempered, but with a high-handed attitude. As the most sought after host of the inn, she tends to let that popularity go to her head. She’s great at putting on a kindly, courteous persona for the guests, but she sees most of them as nothing more than filthy pigs. And at the end of day, she drops the persona and returns to her boisterous, wild self.

Relationships:
Noriko - Twin sister. As the older sister, Mariko does everything she can to protect Noriko. She adores her younger sister and relies on her for support.
Momo - Rival. Mariko does not like Momo, and she becomes irritated hearing her name from the guests she services at the inn. They rave about the “beautiful head attendant of Kachō”. She strives to surpass her in everything.
Asahiko - Boss. Deeply indebted to the Master of Yozora, she works hard to earn her stay and please him and the guests. She also services the Master when he summons her to his room.
Hitomi - Best Friend. Hitomi and Mariko, along with Noriko, often share a few bottles of sake after a long day’s work. She also knows about her relationship with the Master.
Yoshirou - Superior. She suspects that he is fooling around with her sister, but Noriko continues to deny it, so she leaves it alone.
