Corbin is, first and foremost, an ancient Incubi. He is the first of his species to have reached the mortal plane of Iel. During the struggle to reach the mortal plane, he fought against the Earth witch and the Fire sorcerer, Aureliasz and Rhys. The resulting struggle left the earth scarred where he finally managed to escape the Otherworld and solidified the two magical beings' disdain for the daemon. As if to add insult to injury, he formed a contract with their eldest sister, Saveliy.
In the time Corbin was a familiar to the Wind witch, he was kept tame and relatively polite, going so far as to be considered monogamous with the witch, much to the displeasure of the other three siblings. He devoted 89,000 years to the Wind witch before her death.
After the death of his witch, Corbin banished himself to the territory of Norwynne, under the rule of Dagny.
Due to his age and power, any time Corbin sleeps with someone, their soul is immediately forfeit. Some excceptions apply, such as if a soul is tethered to an item or the soul belongs to another person (i.e., he cannot steal the soul of a familiar tightly bonded with a witch or sorcerer.)
