Lamp (Lamantha) Shade

"I'm a monster, but some people like that."

Lamantha was attacked by a rogue nanomachine monster from the Tongue. Rather than becoming assimilated as another victim, Lamantha managed to preserve her sense of self and take over. Unfortunately, she retains the monster's hunger for metal so she hunts unsuspecting citizens. Lamantha is constantly away from home to protect her family from having to see her ugly side, lurking around alleys and other abandoned places at night to hunt random passerby to feed her unnatural hunger. She leaves their separated head intact so that they live. Victims usually have no recollection of what happen. Those that do only remember a bright light before being struck down.

She sometimes runs into her childhood friend Comhas, who either doesn't recognize Lamantha post transitioning and is avoidant of her physical affection. She works at a manufacturing plant which provides her with spare parts to eat during the day. She has an interest in horror to cope with trauma.
