Backstory:
Sprint was a quiet, shy child and often bullied for both his solitary nature and abnormally tall and lanky frame. While he never stood up for himself, he was known around the playground as the ‘scarecrow in tin armor’ for he stood up for those that were picked on much like he was. This carried on into his teens, where he suddenly shot up and bulked out past his peers. His attitude did not turn dark, however, and instead his newfound confidence given to him by his sturdier build brought out a stronger desire to help others. While other kids picked up farming, market skills, wisdom- he picked up a sword. This was the turning point in his life. His body continued to expand beyond any normal persons and his strength just as much. He mastered the art of light in the time of his knighthood and when his mentor passed he inherited the title of Paladin. In, slaying a King whose rule was toxic and abusive towards his kingdom and those ruling around him, he earned the highest possible rank and compliment: High Paladin. It was during this time he also found and picked up what would be his trusted weapon and companion: Sun Burst. With his new rank and blade that would be written in legends, he goes about kicking darkness’ butt.
Personality:
Sprint may have been a nervous bean as a child but into his teens and early adulthood he grew spunky and confident. Not to be deterred by bullies over words and a few painfully well aimed rocks, he took on the role of guardian in his town. His dependability and determination quickly earned him a place in the ranks of knights in a village not his own, and he did not return for many years after leaving to follow his calling. During the time of his training he learned discipline, patience, tolerance, quick thinking skills, and much more. While he was often put down and nearly killed on several accounts, he never uttered the words ‘give up’ or ‘quit’. Earning the rank of Legendary High Paladin has put great strain on Sprint, but he does not let it put him down. On the field he is fearsome and unforgiving. Few dare enter his blades reach once he has entered a battle. With the power of the sun in his hands and the strength to wield it, added the dragon blood running in his veins from past kin, he is a force to be reckoned with and admired by friend and foe alike.
Off the field, however, Sprint is much less awe inspiring. He fumbles over his words and is shy about his skills. He occasionally trips over his own two feet and due to his giant frame has nearly squashed innocent passersby. He is also easily riled up into wrestling matches and surprisingly gullible. The only reason he still lives is due to the fact that he can fend for himself when he finds himself in an unsavory predicament. He is not easily wooed however, and it takes time for him to trust someone enough to cover his back. Some question how Sprint Aefell is the same person as the Burst Paladin that walks the fields of war with fire bowing before him.
