Clayton Boone

Clay is often depicted as both human and a unusual strain of centaur.

As a human he is know as Clayton 'Cash' Boone. Standing 'round 6'5" with tanned skin and sparse freckles he is of a sturdy build with a broad chest and wide shoulders. Has cobalt blue eyes and extremely dark hair, prematurely going silver around the nape of his neck. Accent is that of thick southern/country variety.

  ↪ sharp top canines paired with striking elongated bottom canines he was often called Bulldog as a child as they were comically large in his younger years. though evidently they are still unbelievably large for his mouth.

• three rose tattoos
  ↪ in contrast to his otherwise rough and tough exterior Clayton has an unusually large and rather vibrant rose piece over his throat. the center rose rests just over his adam's apple and is a deep purple with the edges bleeding into red and blue respectively. while to two that are on either side are a bit smaller and a clash of brilliant red and blue which help in a illusion of a collar around the front and sides of his throat.
• calloused hands
  ↪ rough and scarred from both farm work and select years in military each mark has more than their fair share of stories attached. a few notable portions is his left ring, index and right ring fingers have been noticeably reattached. left hand has a specific bullet scar along his thumb pad that shot clear through the back of his hand as well. along his left palm there is a long and rather thick scar from a blood pact he had made at fifteen. all this paired with thick burn scars along his right palm from grabbing a misshapen red hot branding iron.
• small scars across body
  ↪ while small scars are common for anyone living a heavy physical labor life and even military background he has a few worth note; each one oddly enough is stark white and pale compared to his body. one specific is a horse bite along his right shoulder he received around the age of six. another is a thick gore scar along his abdomen to the left of his right hip bone from a set of bull horn he received trying to stop a bull from attacking another individual; who in hindsight shouldn't have been in the corral.
• large scars
  ↪ while they are stark white in contrast with his skin they also take up a good portion of his back. thick marks and oddly velvety raised scars each one laid over another his a large and mangled array of crisscrosses made from lashings he had received quite often in his younger years as a child for any and all types of punishment. the scars no matter how old then are still ache even with the faint touch of fabric nestled against his back. it isn't until recent events where Grimmrose sees the scars and helps massage and soothe them does the ache slowly begin to fade away. regardless despite what many may think he is rather particular about them and still suffers from low self esteem from such when they are visible. they start just along the top of his shoulders and trail down his back, marks can also been seen along the back of his thighs and calves with the faintest of traces along the back of his arms too.
• missing right earlobe
  ↪ stray bullet grazed across his right cheek and shot through his right ear, thankfully not much damage was done beside the lack of what was once there.
• iconic belt buckles
  ↪ much to his heritage of a good ol' farm boy he still wears those iconic belt buckles. some simple and merely showing his love for a select brand of whiskey. but there is another he loves a bit more than the rest and that is one with the emblem of a rose along the front.

• rowdy, excitable, expressive
  ↪ if there is a list that everyone has used for Clayton you can guarantee rowdy is on that list the most. ever since childhood he has been a loud and rather free spirited soul just like than of any stallion on the ranch. always in the mood for games and even a bit of light hearted trouble. its not hard to know how Clayton is feeling as he tends to wear it out on his sleeve provided if his mouth doesn't reveal it first, whether it be love, sorrow or even disdain which often shows its head as quick snippets of sarcasm with that long southern drawl to boot.
• loyal, understanding, forgiving, gentle
  ↪ when it comes to connections with Clayton its not so hard to get involved in the man's life so much as you make some effort and are sincere. with that being said he is fairly wary from past memories and abuse from his own family and is quick to see through lies and if one is sincere enough to be forgiven or even given the time of day. with that said Clayton holds very little grudges when it comes to his own well being provided its in accident or something unavoidable and the lesser of two evils offered. regardless cross a close friend or any loved one and you would have made an enemy no questions asked, at least until you are forgiven; though even in some situations it is not his place to pass judgement but still it will be obvious how he feels about you in any shared moment.
• headstrong, compassionate
  ↪ just like the bull's he was raised around Clayton is surprisingly stubborn if only for a rightful and compassionate cause. such compassion of anything and realistically everything imaginable feeds his rowdy nature, pair that with his unavoidable headstrong nature and your bound to be challenged a fight or two; friendly or not well that's your call really I'm sure you can figure it out.
• gentle, nurturing, overprotective
  ↪ regardless of Clayton's rough and tough looks paired with a rowdy nature he is a gentle giant to most souls, at least till he can't be gentle no more. often going out of his way to coo and preen at friends and loved ones simply because they make his life that much better and worth living. such positive and kind emotions often rear themselves as an almost smothering air of protectiveness due to his own past but luckily nobody seems to mind it all that much even if he is literally hovering besides them with a watchful eye. part of his believes its just his protective nature at heart but he suspects the possibility that it was probably beaten into him with the desire that someone with the ability to stop such actions was there to watch and help him in his times of need.
• insecure, nervous, possessive
  ↪ as if the list of con's he had received from his parents had any shortage of running out be sure there are plenty more to go around. growing up on the Boone ranch had fed his insecurities of never being enough, constantly nagged and prodded to be better than what he already was even when it drove him to exhaustion time and time again. still he is rather nervous at times, especially when he is given a job or is aware of any house rules; a small portion of himself afraid of slipping up should the lashings be brought back to the surface with violent phantom pain at the flicker of a whim. still while he was worked hard and made to feel as if he was at his lowest no matter how much he improved he grew to be possessive other anything he had, whether it be friends or even chores as they made him feels as if he had some bit of worth; such issues made any chance of an early retirement even after the army nearly impossible to live with.
• PTSD, anxiety
  ↪ while many would think the military to be the main contributor to both these issues it is far from the truth. most damage having been done during his younger years from memories he would rather forget but rather can't so long as they remain carved along his back. still he is rather lucky to not have suffered much damage from his years served or rather if he did he's sure what damage was done well before the army overpowers it so he figures it's not too much to worry about. simply preferring to avoid any sort of prescribed medication and rather self medicate with attention and that sweet taste of southern whiskey.

Clay is an excellent marksman, depending on Centaur or human he prefers bows to guns respectively.
Clay loves hunting regardless of human or Centaur, also helps take care of any of the surrounding wildlife and grounds they live on as well as the horses and children. Often teaching the lil ones about basic survival and animal/wildlife facts.
