Toulouse
Un vampire qui vole votre รขme au lieu de votre sang !
- Unlike the common vampire, Toulouse doesn't feast on blood; he draws life from the weak, sick, and dying and consumes it
- The more he consumes, the stronger he becomes, and the easier it is to "feast" on those who are in better health
- If he goes for an extended period of time without feasting on life, his body begins to wither away and decay, one half before the other
- He spends a lot of time either in his home or leaping from rooftop to rooftop (he appreciates solitude and seeing the world from above)
- His bat-like wings allow him to glide, but not to fly
- His bat-like ears grant him very similar hearing abilities to a bat
- He can be out during the day, but never lets himself be seen and largely prefers nighttime
Fun Facts
- He speaks both French, his first language, and English
- His wings and ears are naturally glittery
- He plays the violin and finds joy in doing so for nightowls and insomniacs in the dead of night
- He really loves macramรฉ and making knots in general -- it's calming for him
- He enjoys making art from unconventional materials, such as intricate carvings from rocks and structures from small objects
- He does not often like direct interaction; he will only perform small actions in secret to please those he truly cares for and rarely engages in conversation
- He carries a tiny drawstring bag that holds small but meaningful keepsakes, as well as tools and items with which he can craft or create art
- His birthday is October 6th (it comes from a bat plushie that inspired his design)
"And his eyes have all the seeming of a demonโs that is dreaming . . .
And the lamp-light oโer him streaming throws his shadow on the floor . . .
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor . . .
Shall be liftedโnevermore!"
