First and foremost, Elphia is a very meek individual. Leftover vices from her childhood, she is a rather quiet and overly-respectful person who almost never speaks out of turn. Elphia is also quite kind and loving, she absolutely adores helping others in just about any way possible. Healing and buffing and being a medic may seem like a boring task to some, but Elphia adores being there for her group in the way she knows best how to do. Elphia can be kind to a fault, however, and doesnt often stand up for herself when people try to take advantage of her.

Elphia was born to a small seafaring tribe beneath the waves of the western sea. Here, she is groomed practically from birth to be respectful and quiet and nurturing. She is also raised entirely on stories of the tribes' religion, the stories of The Water Trio; Aqueiet The Water Teacher, Aquifer The Water Reaper, and, finally, Aquivitae The Water Mother. Once Elphia came of age, she joined the covanent of The Water Mother due to her gentle nature and love for helping others. She did her work without complaint, things such as cleaning the temples and aiding the midwives with births and ferrying supplies to the faith healers. Her life was simple. That is, until one particular trip to cleaning one of the surface temples. There, she met a fisherman who was quite smitten with her. He presented her with gifts and trinkets and compliments, which she acted kindly towards and thanked the man for but did little else beside her duty. Enraged by this, the fisherman took Elphia away and stole her sealskin coat from her, leaving her stranded with the man on the surface. There, she was forced to become almost like his wife, a tiresome and thankless job. She lived this way for about a year until she came across Matilda and Arryn during one of her spare few times she was allowed to go to the market. The tiefling offered Elphia nothing short of kindness and generousity, and Elphia's story poured from her lips before she really knew what was happening. Arryn caught the tail-end of the story, her time of forced marriage to the fisherman, and the elf flew into a rage towards the fisherman to get Elphia's cloak back. Thankful to the pair (and slightly enraptured by the elf's sudden kindness towards her so soon after her rage), Elphia went with the pair while she looked for a way home.
