As he tried to make his way in the city he struggled to make ends meet and turned back to the mob as an unaffiliated hit-man.

Achilles was born in the Bronx, New York, to a violently abusive father and and nervous mother.
His father's ties to the mob drove him away from home at the age of 14, spending a year and a half on the streets of New York.
He moved in with his adult friend, Jim.
At 17 Achilles left his "friend" and moved into his own apartment in Harlem.
Harlem would be where Achilles would reconnect with his mother and father and rejoin the New York Mob.
His first hit wouldn't be until three days after his 18th birthday.
He was contracted by an Italian mafioso to kill a man who owed $38,000 to the mafioso's wife, which Achilles took at the first chance he could, almost getting caught in the process.
He used the money to help with his transition.
