ｇｅｎｅｓｉｓ

Genesis used to be a normal--sighted--louxe. They always had a thirst for knowledge and such a headstrong attitude that nothing could stop them from reaching their goal of learning as much as they could. They use to spend all their time deep in grand libraries, soaking up every word from every book. 

One day they happened upon some ancient scrolls that foretold of a greater gift of knowledge from the gods. Intrigued, Gen tried desperately to find more information about such a gift but failed miserably in doing so. They eventually decided to confront the gods themselves--demanding to know how to obtain such a gift. The gods, namely Nuit, were displeased that such a knowledgeable louxe could be easily swayed with greed. They agreed to give Gen such powers, but it would come with a cost. The foolish Louxe ignored the warning, looking only to gain the foretold power. The next thing Gen remembered was waking up to a blurry, disorganized world. It was like they were seeing their surroundings from eight different points. While Gen felt...stronger, wiser....they also realized how reckless they had been. Though imbued with untold wisdom, they ironically realized their mistakes and had to forever live with them.

Genesis had been cursed with blindness--forced to live as a mutant with eyes sprouted on various parts of their body. Cursed with flowers growing on their face and head. However, they had been blessed with Enlightenment. Allowing them strong psychic magic, a staff to control such, and (like they wanted in the first place) a wiser, aged mind. With their new power, they see the error in their young ways. Their mistake has cost them the ability to ever read again.

The eyes allow Genesis a very limited view of the world. It is all blurry and confusing. They do, however, help them to sense psyches and other mystical forces. If Genesis opens their actual eyes, the floating eyes disappear and the louxe is forced into total blackness.
