Dewkit was born to Reedfang and Streamfur, not only was his father the current deputy but his grandmother was Minnowstar the leader of RiverClan and somewhere along the family line was Oakstar, a very well known RiverClan cat and past leader. His family cast some big shadows over him but Dewkit wasn’t destined to follow a warriors past due to the fact at night he was dreaming of things to come, a prophecy that he had yet to understand but it made his destiny clear and focused as the moment he had turned six moons old he became a medicine cat apprentice.
Although this was not a destiny of his choosing he did not become bitter about it but rather soon embraced it as a way to make a name for himself outside of his bloodline and soon found enjoy in learning how to heal.
