The Dark Blob

Dark Slime are solitary in nature, and so, he has been alone from his early days on. The Blob had barely any time to grow before he was found by intrigued travelers who marvelled at whatever this weird little pile of goo was. They put him in a jar and took him away. At first, he was frequently let out so that the humans could take probes of his body and observe his developement. At some point that changed though - and he ended up forgotten, crammed into a now too-small jar that was slowly collecting dust.

It wasn't until years later that his jar was discovered again, and, having no more use for him, the Blob was sold on a flea market to a curious gentleman. That's how he ended up in the hands of a wandering circus, where he has since been marketed as the curios "Dark Blob". He since was moved to a bigger confinement and is being fed regularly - unless there's a show upcoming. Life could be worse.
