Calhoun's Links
Calhoun has a deep hatred for Vasile. Vasile was the vampire that killed his first hunting partner. He is frustrated that he rarely gets the opportunity to kill him.
Vasile and Calhoun are terrible rivals. Vasile enjoys tormenting and toying with Calhoun about the past, as he was the vampire that killed Calhoun's first hunting partner. He remains elusive just to upset Calhoun further.
Calhoun sees Benjiro as a beneficial ally and a trusting friend. He appreciates the treatments he receives for his lycanthropy. He also retrieves ingredients and delivers them to Benjiro if they can be used for medicine.
Benjiro found a good customer and a great friend in Calhoun. He does his best to help him treat his lycanthropy. Sometimes he had Calhoun watch over his shop along with his daughter, Mio, when he is out running errands.
Calhoun thinks Mio is a sweet and intelligent girl. Although he's not great with kids, he is pretty appreciative that Benjiro's daughter is low maintenance and pleasent to speak to. He looks after her sometimes.
Mio adores Calhoun and finds his line of work very interesting. She looks up to him and sees him like family. She calls him Uncle Cal.
Calhoun was distrusting of Ember at first for obvious reasons, but she is a useful and powerful ally. He still can't believe that she and Vasile used to date.
She sees him as a good friend and an extremely capable ally, and rather enjoys his presence.
After a while of tracking him and suspecting him of being a typical vampire, Calhoun later discovered that this bloodsucker was not at all malicious. They eventually became friends.
[If Shipped:] Calhoun still feels an ounce of uneasiness for being with a vampire, but in the end, he is glad to have Vlad here. The two banter quite often further into their relationship, but in the beginning, Calhoun was much more bashful about the whole thing.
If you had told Vlad he was going to be essentially stalked by a monster hunter,he probably would've laughed at you. He may not be the best person, but he refuses to stain his hands with blood. And the assumption that he would,of course pisses him off. He's a spiteful little asshole in the begining, but once things settle down and he understands things better,he's happy and content to call Calhoun his friend.
[If Shipped:]
Vlad actually develops a crush pretty early on. Maybe even during the enemies phase, but he doesn't reveal a lick of anything until he's sure that the big brute feels something similar. Once he's sure,he's kind of a menace. Subtle flirting and teasing, and once they're together,he can't help but think that bashfulness is a good look for Calhoun. He's very content and loving, despite his partner being a monster hunter.
Calhoun only sees Lothaire as an annoyance and an obstacle in front of his real target, Vasile Fane. He has no idea about Lothaire's real identity. When Lothaire, previously Trey Montel, was human, Calhoun saw him as his best friend. He cared and incredible amount about him, and became quite bitter after his death. He also carried minor feelings for him, but never said anything.
Lothaire sees Calhoun as his arch nemesis, as he is not only a threat to Master Vasile, but also because Calhoun murdered him as a human twelve years ago -- which is actually a lie told by Vasile to better keep his loyalty. He usually gets painful flashes of memory whenever Calhoun fights him. As a human, Trey was Calhoun's best friend. He cared deeply about him, and did whatever was necessary to keep him safe.
Calhoun, at first, was not bothered by the presence of the little wolf girl. He saw her as more of an obstacle and a nuisance when first pursuing the vampire Vladimir that she seemed to be in league with. Eventually, he would grow not to be so cold once being around Vladimir and Toma enough, but he is not very affectionate. Perhaps he is too afraid to relate to another wolf with his own lycanthropy.
Toma straight up hates him at first. Growling and puffing her chest to seem a little bigger. Something about him seems heavily off to her,and while she doesn't know what it sets her on edge. Of course, she's about as intimidating as a puppy, but she still tries to spook him away from her Papa. Her immense distrust tunes down a little after awhile, and while she's still wary, she doesn't bare her teeth or growl at him anymore.
If Vlad and Calhoun are shipped, she's a little grumpy at first but eventually that fades to begrudging acceptance. It takes awhile, but she slowly so slowly, starts to get attached to him.
Calhoun feels more than disturbed around Kiyoshi since he inhabits the body of his second old partner. He knows that the spirit does not mean harm, but he still manages to haunt him nonetheless.
He often feels guilty around Calhoun, feeling as if he took someone away from him, and tends to be kinda quiet around him. He does however try to be friendly with him, but it’s too blatant he’s different than his previous partner.
Met Cupid once when he was called to kick him out of a town for causing too much trouble. He had a massive headache afterwards.
Cupid absolutely loves this hot stud, and he only met him once! Though, he got kicked out of a place by him because he was causing too much chaos. It wasn't so bad being manhandled by this guy, that was for sure!
