Story
I. Past
Whenever a new angel is brought into the world, it’s said to be a time of joy and celebration. For many years the goddess of love Calista had resisted creating one of her own, citing she could handle her rule just fine alone. However, when the time came where she could no longer deny the workload, she had finally broken down and decided to make one of her own; Midori’s birth is said to be one of the brightest, most beautiful days in history.
Creation
Even as a young angel, Midori’s personality showed to be quite different from that of her goddess. While Calista was reserved, a bit more on the stern side, Midori was very playful, very friendly and quite mischievous. Constantly would she get into things she wasn’t supposed to, accidentally causing trouble across Heaven. While always harmless in nature, it took quite a bit of teaching to not only reign in her magic, but to learn all of her angelic duties. She was an angel to Calista yet a servant to Heaven, having to split her time between her home and the mortals who would call to her from down below. It’s said that, for a long time, Midori had not been seen in the mortal realm—not from her own not wanting to be there, but from her goddess’ overprotective nature. Not only had Calista been nervous to send Midori out alone, but she would always worry about those with nefarious intentions, especially if they were demonic in nature. It began to paint a slow picture in Midori’s mind of who these demons were, and what the Underworld was like; a realm so terrible that only the worst of the worst would be banished down below? She would stay wary, but it wouldn’t make her steer clear of the mortal realm forever—she was a curious being, after all.
II. Present
All of her life Midori had heard the loud whisperings in Heaven telling tales that demons were nothing but sin, a hostile threat to the world. Still, there was always a part of herself that couldn’t bring her hands to hurt them. While she had never been a fan of them, things started to change when she had met a fiend under the archdemon of greed, a demon named Faust. What started off as a rocky, back and forth relationship between two enemies slowly blossomed first into a friendship, before Midori could feel herself starting to fall in love with them. Now harboring deep feelings for someone she can’t have, she struggles between her love for a demon and not getting distracted from her angelic duties.

III. Future
The rules that govern her world couldn’t keep her from following her heart forever—after Faust had disappeared from the mortal realm for a few days, something that was very unusual for them, her worry and concern for their wellbeing led her directly into the Underworld to make sure they were okay. Not only had she not found her beloved, though, someone else had found her; after being taken by Avidus, his plans were put into motion when Midori was forced into falling, causing the gods up above to act swiftly. War was declared on the Underworld for such an act, bringing the start of Armaggedon, with a fallen angel now fighting on their side.
