PERSONALITY:
{Loud}-{Persistent}-{Affectionate}-{Caring}-{Resourceful}-{Boastful}
{Loud:}
Yoon doesn’t even seem to realize how loud he is most of the time, and his friends usually have to point it out for him. Pointing it out, or asking him to be quiet doesn’t help to get his volume down, and usually he makes a big deal out of it, and will only get louder. He’s also known to scream to get people’s attention, mostly due to him being so small. If they ignore him because of his size, he’ll use his loud voice to call them out. Yoon also likes to project his words, since it’s far more useful than screeching like he normally would.
{Persistent:}
If things don’t go the way Yoon likes, he can be oddly persistent about getting his way. Despite the way he acts sometimes, he’s actually very clever and smart. He doesn’t voice his plans out loud, but when it comes to helping his friends, he’ll do nearly anything to get his or his friends plans to work out. Though, sometimes his plans aren’t very well thought out sometimes, and his determined persistent behavior can be quite annoying.
{Affectionate:}
Though it might seem strange for a cat like Yoon to be so affectionate, he will show that side of him to cats he is much closer to, and trusts. Since he is so small, he enjoys curling up on cats larger than him, but he doesn’t mind nuzzling cats closer to his size, too.
{Caring:}
Yoon doesn’t act like he cares, and he doesn’t like to show that he cares, in most cases. Even to his friends, it seems like he only cares about himself, until you take a look deeper look and get to know him. You’ll find out that most of the things he does is out of worrying for his owner, who is currently sick. While it may seem like he’s stealing food for his own greedy reasons, he’s actually stealing food for his owner, who doesn’t have much money for food, and is too sick to get a job. Yoon is his only way of surviving, and the Rusty Spotted Cat is extremely aware of that. Yoon’s caring ways don’t only go to his owner, but somewhat to his friends as well.
{Resourceful:}
Yoon is extremely clever and resourceful, though none of his friends would believe him if he said so. Concern for his sick owner willed him to learn as much as he could about healing, (Which wasn't anything until he was taken in by the City Medic-the cats he had met seemed to know nothing of healing) and Yoon found out that he is very quick learn new things. He finds he can remember things after only seeing them once, and likes finding new creative ways of doing things.
{Boastful:}
Yoon self-proclaims himself as a “Genius pretty boy”, and commonly boasts about himself. While he does generally believe what he says, he also does it to get a reaction out of his friends. He usually gets a groan or two out of his friends when he boast about himself, and he finds it amusing. While he’s a little vain, he still doesn’t mind boasting for his friends sakes. Because hey, they’re pretty cool too, even if they’re a bunch of weirdos.
BACKSTORY:
Yoon was abandoned by his parents when he was still a cub-his eyes hadn’t even opened yet. Yoon still doesn’t know to this day why he was abandoned, did his parents not like him? Did they die? He tries not to think about it, but sometimes the thought crosses through his head, “Was I not good enough for them?”
Whatever happened to his parents didn’t matter, though, because one of the humans living in the slums of the city saved his life. He would have most likely died if it wasn’t for Ik-Soo, who was more generous than the other humans who had walked by and ignored the very small, starved thing.
And Yoon owed his life to that human, and he became 100% loyal to him, and very attached.
Unfortunately for Yoon, he didn’t know that Ik-Soo was suffering from asthma at the time, and thought he was completely healthy. It became apparent to him once he was a few months older, after he had come home to find his owner wheezing and coughing.
Not only did Ik-Soo have asthma, but he also had a low immune system, so he it was much easier for him to get sick. Once Yoon knew about his owners sickness, he became very interested in the subject of healing and medicine. He tried to find as much as he could about the subject, since he knew nothing about it. But when he went around to ask about it, it seemed like no cats in the city had any knowledge about healings. Humans seemed to be the only ones preforming healthcare.
As much as Yoon would want to try and heal Ik-Soo, he just couldn't. He didn't know anything about it, so he couldn't do anything. Ik-Soo would have to be cared for by a City Doctor or Medic, but it would be quite a walk to go to where one lived, and he was just a cat. How was he supposed to go up to one and tell him about his owner? The human wouldn't understand.
It seemed a miracle had happened, though, in some ways. While Yoon was out on one of his daily adventures, still trying to find more about healing even though other cats knew nothing of it, a City Medic had found Ik-Soo, who had clumsily cut his shoulder. He'd been confused, and very shocked when he got back, finding his owner bleeding, and a stranger in the house. Yoon considered this a miracle, but others might call it luck. What were the chances that a City Medic would happen to pass by their house, and notice something wrong?
How it exactly happened didn't matter, because the medic had enough kindness in his heart to take in the young boy and his loud cat. It was a big change from the house they had lived in before in the slums, since the house was so much nicer. Yoon found everything exciting and interesting there, especially the medicine. The medic was somewhat cross to find the cat nosing into his medicine supplies.
The medic also found out that it was nearly impossible to separate Yoon from his owner. Yoon refused to leave Ik-Soo's side even while the medic bandaged and took care of him. (For instance, he once locked Yoon in another room, and the amount of noise he made was too much for the medic to handle. Yoon was much quieter by Ik-Soo's side.) Plus, Yoon was finally learning about healthcare. It wasn't much, but he knew some basic knowledge. Like, he knew how to bandage, just from watching the medic bandage Ik-Soo, and other hurt cats or humans. Well, not just from watching. He practiced it on himself, 'borrowing' bandages from the medic, to quickly wrap one on his paws, or tail, and putting the bandages back before the medic noticed they were gone.
Even after the wound on Ik-Soo's shoulder had healed, the medic still let the boy and cat stay with him. While part of the reason was because of his sickness, but Yoon assumed there was another reason, because the medic seemed oddly fond of the boy.
Yoon sometimes gathered fruit for Ik-Soo to eat, since he knew that he got hungry sometimes while the medic was away at the coliseum, healing injured fighters. Yoon even enjoyed eating fruit, because it was easier to find than meat, and Yoon didn't know how to hunt. Not that he needed to, the medic sometimes brought him meat to eat.
He became used to living with the medic, and didn't expect anything to change.
He ran into a large group of cats, after trying to steal their food, and they followed him back to his place. After he explained why he did it, they offered to let him join their, and he accepted.
Random Facts and Quirks
Yoon absolutely despises birds. While he doesn’t mind eating them, he’ll hiss at the sight of any live bird.
If you yell at him, he’ll most likely find something to throw at you.
He tends to randomly screech out to get the others attention.
He has very basic knowledge of healing, but is trying his best to learn more advanced healing, even if it takes years.
He’s often mistaken for a girl, because of his feminine like face, and his accessories.
Other cats often assume he’s younger than he actually is.
Yoon has insult like nicknames for everyone he knows in the group.
The time Yoon doesn’t spend with the group, he spends with Ik-Soo, and watching the medic heal others.
