Profile

Name: Tharin Forge

Gender: Male

Age: 35 (792)

Race: Human

Height: 6'2

Weight: 179 Pounds

Scars: Multiple 'spider webbing' scars along the entire area of his chest, arms and legs. Facial reconstruction surgery has been able to remove most of it on his face, but if someone was to shave him bald they would be able to find it along his scalp. These scars due to extremely long-term exposure to Cryo-Sleep. Tharin has refused further treatment due to the fact it take him off duty for around two years per limb, and around four or five years for his torso due to the intense surgeries and genetic recoding that would need to be done, which he is unwilling to accept.

Birthplace: Neptune, Poseidon Station.

Current Location: Argon Sector, Andromina Galaxy.

Appearence: Tharin is a buff fellow due to the standard doctrine back at Earth stating all Captains had to be battle hardened for both space and ground instances of combat. There are small electronic augmentation circuits in the palm of his hands that allow him to store data that he can have brought to his brain later on so he cannot forget a crucial piece of information. Normally, such augments are placed near the brain to allow for quicker access and allow for other pieces of tech to be 'locked' onto the modules. However, he insisted on them being placed in the hands instead so that it be harder to tell if he was augmented or not (Due to wearing gloves) and to help reduce risk of possible EMP devices leaving him brain dead due to a shorting of the augment, which was a real possibility when placed so close to the brain. His skin is tanned with pale spider webbing marks all around his entire body save for his face- the little spider webs seem to match up with the blood veins closest to the surface of his skin.

His hair is buzz cut and dark brown, eyebrows are thin and the same color. His eyes are light blue, they were originally dark blue but cryo-sleep has faded them and made his vision blurry, he has denied being given augmented eyes again due to the fact if they short out he is in a lot of trouble. Instead, he opts for a combination of visor-optical glasses and contacts, just in case his glasses ever fall off. Though, it is unlikely due to their micro-tractor beams inserted inside of them. The glasses in question are black with black lenses to help block out extremely bright lights, his glasses can also see in multiple different modes such as night vision, inferred, and thermal. His contacts, however, only shield him from excess light and do not have these modes.

Tharin's outfit consists of an Earth Captain's uniform with multiple different tiny flags on his chest, one for every earth country- one for earth herself, one for luna, and one for every planet, moon, and dwarf planet in the solar system- along with all of their regions, territories and countries. His uniform is a light grey coat with two large golden pieces of metal on top of his shoulders, the coat has side flaps that go down to his knees. On the left bicep of his uniform instead of really small flags, he instead has his Captain Insignia, which is a gold chevron arrow with five stars above and below it. His coat has six golden buckles holding it closed, and underneath that, he has a white undershirt. He has light grey pants and black combat boots. The sides of his pant legs, as well as the sides of his Captain's coat, have a gold stripe running along them. He often wears black or grey gloves in order to hide his augments.

OLD WAR SURVIVOR

Personal Accounts: Tharin's memory is pretty shoddy due to his prolonged cryogenic stasis, it was a miracle he wasn't vegetablized. From what he can tell people, he was born on Neptune's Poseidon Station- which old records show was a Railgun Battery that also served as the primary network in an array of Gauss and Nuclear Warhead defense satellites. Due to this, he said he was 'most likely' exposed to military views and ethics from an extremely early age, but he can't be sure if his parents took a leave to a surface world in order to raise him or not, because much of his childhood has been lost from his memory. The only thing he could really recall was on his thirteenth birthday he remembered the news station broadcasting the entire Mars Capital City had been leveled by an Anti-Matter Warhead that had somehow been stolen by the Black Star Syndicate, a known religious terrorist group at the time. He could recall how... silent things were as everyone just looked shocked and horrified in the room for the longest time before anything was said- but he can't remember exactly what was said, just that they were talking.

According to records shortly after this event, the very first 'Dark Sky' order was issued by the Terran Alliance on the Gliese star system where a majority of the Syndicate Religion was held and believed to secretly be the head of where the extremist group Black Star Syndicate was located. The 'Dark Sky' protocol issued a massive graviton charge that was fired into the stars of the system- which totally collapsed them and formed two massive black holes. Which not only absorbed all the light in the system slowly freezing it- but the graviton charge had increases the intensity of the black holes- making FTL jumping impossible and began to slowly drag in the planets and ships in the sector.

Tharin said about a few weeks after the attack he had to stay with his aunt due to his mother and father being forced off into combat. And that is about the last memory he had ever had of them and isn't sure if they died or made it back home due to his lapses in memory. No records could be found about his parents, but due to the secrecy around the 'Dark Sky' project and the Poseidon Starbase, in general, that isn't exactly surprising.

Tharin said he can recall his adulthood a little better,

He could remember at eighteen that he was forced into the military. Though, he can't recall how his training went or who he met or what it was he did for about eight years after. Tharin states he knows it was eight years because he remembers the dates just not anything between those two points in time. At age twenty-six he says that the Solar System came under attack by large white vessels with blue lines and accents, they had some kind of laser or plasma-based weaponry due to the colors but he isn't sure exactly what. There is no reference to the event in the database meaning it either wasn't brought with them on their voyage to the Andromeda Galaxy- or it was covered up somehow.

He mentions they didn't come back after the first attack and he never figured out who they were.

He stated the next few memories he had were in combat, normally involving life-threatening situations which his brain has held onto such as when a torpedo impacted the bridge and blew a massive hole into it, nearly sucking him out into space. Or another time when life support was being vented by a drone that had hacked into their systems. Another time he had been shot three times by a small handgun when a civilian panicked and thought he was a member of the Outer Rim Confederacy when they came to the aid of the Alpha Centauri Sector. The last memory he has is when a massive... object appeared in the solar system and seemed to... begin to control the people around him. They began to act and behave strangely, turning on those who did not surrender right away. Tharin being unaffected remembered fleeing... he wasn't sure where but he said the next memory he has was being awakened by the U.T.C. in the Andromeda Galaxy.

The ship's logs suggest that Tharin had fled to Engineering where he shot everyone in the room, locked it down, and then vented the entire atmosphere of the vessel save for Engineering while plotting and emergency jump in a random direction. After about four days he allowed the atmospheric generators to turn back on but found someone had hard wired and coded the ship to not stop until it reached wherever it had been told to jump. Tharin spent about three weeks trying everything he could to stop the vessel but couldn't. He then spent about twelve hours going on a rampage throughout the ship in an apparently psychological meltdown before finally calming down. He then stripped down, activated one of the cryo-pods and entered the vessel. The vessel apparently spent five hundred years getting to the Andromeda Galaxy and spent another two hundred ninety-two years trapped in the orbit of a small star where the U.T.C. happened upon it, originally planning to scrab the vessel for parts and secure any data they could get- they ended up finding Tharin and the operation turned into a delicate retrieval and revival mission. No one expected him to survive but by some miracle, Tharin made it through the entire ordeal despite spending nearly triple the recommended prolonged cryogenic sleeping time.

Equipment

Peregine Command Multi-tool Module: An old mechanical computer piece that attaches to the wrist with multiple buttons and functions to it. They were replaced in the Andromeda Galaxy by the Phoenix Hardlight Multi-tool Module, however, Tharin holds a lot of sentimental value towards his old tool and thus has kept it around and continues to use it. It has the following features-

Electro-Knife: A special electricity amped blade that pops out from the front of the device that is charged with electricity to help short out electronics- (allowing the knife to combat robots) and allows him to incapacitate enemies he stuns by giving large jolts of electricity. It can, however, also be used to power a circuit rather easily.

Cipher: A specialized program inside the computer that can allow him to bypass security if given ample time. This can allow him to disable alarms, hack doors open/closed, download data, reprogram robots, and many other useful features. It also works as an anti-hacking program.

Hardlight Projector: An experimental piece of equipment- (At the time anyways) that allowed the user to fire beams of concentrated hardlight out from it. (For mining, cutting, combat) or even project a miniature shield to help protect the user from incoming fire.
