Brooks

Brooks is a ginger bass guitarist and drummer who was named after his father. His dad was physically abusive to him and his mum, leading to her leaving her husband and giving her son her maiden name. Brooks associates his first name with his dad, so decided to go by his surname instead.

His mum raised him on Metallica and sang him to sleep with Enter Sandman. He's really into Metallica but also enjoys listening to the rest of the big four of thrash metal (Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax). He plays bass guitar and is the backup drummer for Blacklight Arcade and Immortal Coil. He also provides vocals for Blacklight Arcade's Metallica meme covers (he can do a really accurate James Hetfield impression and randomly emits YEAHs in his voice).

• His impressions repertoire expands past metal and includes a lot of video game characters.
• He was almost named after Metallica's third bassist (Jason Newsted) but his dad noticed the reference and demanded that Brooks be named after him.
• He drives a Toyota RAV4 XA20 called Tallulah. She is his baby.
