A chaotic chance encounter. Jackal found himself severely wounded after a particular assignment, and although he is normally good at keeping to the shadows, a passerby had spotted him in the alleyway he had settled down to recuperate in. Though clearly panicked by the sight, the younger man quickly tossed aside that emotion and lept into action, managing to successfully stop the bleeding and dress Jackal's wounds with surprising finesse given the limited materials on hand. Nova then dragged him to the hospital, despite his protests- which Nova only met back with frustration, calling him an idiot for trying to get through the night with such severe wounds.
Jackal was baffled when Nova seemed to take the brunt of the expense- but was even more shocked to learn of the true extent of the injury he had sustained. He had believed that he had experienced worse before, but going by the assessment he was given, it turns out that without Nova's intervention, he may have died that night. Even so, a stranger to expressing gratitude, he quickly and quietly made himself scarce once he was allowed to leave. He's silently grateful for Nova's kindness that night, but has not sought him out since.
