"Eurovision is so cool, we need to go some time!"

Anton is the extroverted one amongst his friends Indiana and Stann, plus he's quite flamboyant most of the time*, but once you get past that he's really a bit of a renaissance man. What I mean by that is that this guy has far more hobbies/careers than the other two, for starters he's the the leader of the singing group they have, he has some first aid training (in reference to antimony's historic use as a laxative), he has a strong interest in the history of both Italy and Egypt, and in his spare time he reads physics magazines (antimony is used in neutron sources) and practises shooting (but is only an average shot).

His design is less complex though, for the most part it's just a reference to how two of antimony's allotropes are yellow and black while the green is the colour of antimony's flame test. Oh, and those are not crosses on his shirt, they are sparkles. Yeah, when said he was really flamboyant I meant it, and that also leads into what I'm going to say next. Originally I was going to have Stann and Anton look very similar in reference to how I keep mixing up their Latin names... until I found out that "alchemists saw antimony as the essence of femininity, and a version of its alchemical symbol, ♀, still stands for "female" today". Yeah, awkward. Initially I considered making Anton a girl, but then I had a funnier idea. Keep him a guy but make him look like a girl! (as it turns out this makes sense too because according to the book "The Disappearing Spoon" some other alchemists "decided this half metal, half insulator, neither one thing or the other, was a hermaphrodite.") However the "I keep mixing them up" reference is still there in the form of Stann and Anton having their atomic number on their shirts.

*He is another element you don't want to anger though in reference to the explosive allotrope (No, seriously) of antimony, as well as this: "Mixing antimony pentafluoride (SbF5) with hydrogen fluoride (HF) produces a substance with a pH of -31. This super acid is 100,000 billion billion billion times more potent than stomach acid and will eat through glass, as ruthlessly as water through paper."
