When he was younger, frequent rejection and abuse from other mantibabs had him very fearful and distrusting of others. He would become aggressive if anyone tried to get too close to him (physically or otherwise) in an attempt to scare them away. It was during a time that someone tried to persist anyways, that he discovered his special ability to strike fear in others.
As he grew older, he became desensitized from the emotional and physical abuse endured from his younger days, and is apathetic to any insults or injuries thrown his way. This isn't to say that he can't be seriously injured, just that he doesn't really care or feel pain the same way anymore. He opts to ignore others besides a select few completely. He doesn't really care about the consequences of his actions and can be quite reckless most times, but is remorseful if he causes pain towards the few he does care for. He is apathetic about most things truthfully, and suffers from depression.

BACKSTORY
Neptune's mother was a really unfortunate fishbab who got knocked up by the mantibab god of terror, her current whereabouts are unknown. Neptune himself has no idea who his parents are, however. He learned very quickly that other babs hate him for his cursed looks, so he would try to disguise himself to look normal (very poorly), trying to fit in by travelling from group to group and just barely managing to survive. In the early days he managed to make friends, sometimes very close ones, but they would always turn on or abandon him when he was inevitably outcast, his distrust in others growing. At some point he was discovered and adopted by Weiss and Hrothgar, and met a small pocketbab who would not leave him alone, who he eventually grew close to.
OTHER
- His has always been Very big. As a child he was already the size of an adult, although he still had child-like body proportions. As an adult he is massive in comparison to any other babs besides other gods and demigods.
- His blood is very dark gray, the same color as his cheeks (in adult form).
- His colors darkened as he aged, and the small freckle-like scales that littered his face eventually fell away.
- He has the ability to strike paralyzing fear/terror in other creatures, something he couldn't control well when he was younger that he honed with age.
