Aslan is a mysterious man. He pops up when it's convenient for him and is gone at the notice of trouble. His magic isn't well-understood by anyone who's close to him, which is attributed to be part of the reason he quit attending school. 

The only thing known about Aslan's magic is that it's psi magic, coming from the mind. Psi magic is versatile, so it's difficult to pinpoint his specialties without watching him closely. The truth is that his specialty is dream magic, an odd specialty for someone not from the kingdom of dreams.

Nobody really understands his motives. Nobody is really close to him, either. Those who have interacted with him describe his personality as smug and teasing, kind of like a school bully. Apparently generally unlikeable.
