They're the deity in charge of Alaquara - an earth adjacent that has a lot of animal hybrids more than just regular humans (in fact, Alaquara and Earth have rifts that teleport residents from one to the other which is where theres humans on Alaquara and hybrids on Earth in this universe)

Each domain they cover they have a unique mask for that they can wear (just casually or to transform into the animal its shaped as) and cuz of them Alaquarian residents question whether Guardian is one entity transforming or multiple individuals and Guardian thinks its funny and will not clarify

The way deities work in this is that when they come into existence, so does a planet. They can shape, add, or remove from the planet however they wish - its theirs. They can also die on their planet and simply revive (usually weakened for a bit but still). Guardian found out the hard way that when they die off-planet, they permanently die. As Al died, Guardian had to tie his planet to themselves to keep it semi-intact. Alemora is now a bunch of islands in a permanent state of limbo - although as more Alemorian dragons start to exist, more of the planet reappears and some lost flora and fauna may return. Guardian has been using Alemora as an afterlife for their deceased residents.

Spirits can be promoted and trained by Guardian to become Jaera, protectors of Alemora and caretakers of the dragons.

Another thing - Alemorian dragons' teeth and claws with a single scratch can permanently sever a creature's connection to their mana pool (which is what they access to safely cast magic). The dragons have to be trying to do so, or in the case of Jaera spears and blades, the wielder, for the connection to get severed. Also after this happens, the only way they can cast magic is by using their own life source, which, unlike their mana pool, can not get larger with use.
