Caramel

One of the most important support characters in Charmwork

He is one of three sibling "kittens" discovered and adopted into the group: Caramel, Coconut, and Cookie

Caramel is a warm brown pelted tom with a darker back and tail, a cream tail tip, a dark pink nose, and golden eyes. At the beginning of the story, he wears a pink fabric collar with no tags.

Caramel wants, more than anything, to be loved. He doesn't much care if it ends up being a human, a mother, or a lover, but he has known what it is like to be loved, and he wants that world back...perhaps, just in a different form. Whatever Coconut and Cookie think, he knows that he knows best about how to get them all the life they deserve, and he knows it's not in the shelter. Knowing the stories of Spring and those brave cats she brought out of the shelter and into their own life, Caramel is sure that joining them is his siblings' best chance of finding love and happiness. They'll just need to get to them first.

Caramel goes through a fair bit of change over the course of the story so these traits may not all fit all the time, but in general he is cheerful, energetic, compassionate, curious, cooperative, and determined. However, he can also be stubborn, emotional, oblivious, and assumes he knows best for everyone.
