About
Initially a human, Sugar is a potion-specialist witch who has been placed under a particularly nasty curse. The curse she was put under is essentially a bundle of hexes, all with varying effects and ailments. One such effect has left her unable to recall life prior to the curse, including who put her under it in the first place, and why they did it. These forgotten memories are the very reason why she practices witchcraft. Through her potion-brewing, she hopes to recover her memories and return to her former state of being. Thanks to her significantly slowed aging, she practically has all the time in the world to do so.
Despite the plentiful amount of time she has to resolve her memory issue, her confinement to potion-brewing slows the process considerably. Nevertheless, her optimistic resolve keeps her confident that, no matter how long it takes, she will be her old self again one day. Besides, her travels to collect the materials she needs to do her work are entertaining in their own right, and she loves meeting new people.
Her circumstances have caused her to fear isolation greatly. Desperate for companionship, she makes her best effort to be kind and open to all, almost always to a fault. Though her inviting demeanor has helped her form bonds before, she is often too-trusting and ends up being taken advantage of in some way by the other party. She either ends up outliving her companions or scaring them off with the effects of her curse. She consequently holds every person she is acquainted with (and who she knows won't wrong her) close.
