Ruben

"Where would you be if not with me?"

Ruben lives in the monster-filled forest after being cursed by a witch that prevents him from leaving. He’s typically friendly and sweet but his curse causes him to be overcome by loneliness. Because of this, he’s eager to meet travelers and does his best to protect them until they can exit the forest safely. However, as time passes Ruben increasingly becomes attached to a person and ends up being infatuated, all due to the curse as well. The more time that goes by, the clingier he gets which slowly transforms him into his full monster form in which he loses all consciousness and control of his own body. This may lead to the travelers wanting to escape Ruben as soon as possible or it may lead him to accidentally kill the travelers before they make it out of the forest
