Güvenç / Gavin Özkan

Nephew of Hande Ozkan, essentially the adopted son (figure?) & is in the care of Bahadir Kalkan in PBFP's time since Handes death in 1921. He is often referred to by the name "Gavin" , but has no preference as to which name you call him.

• Born in 1911 to a brother of Hande Ozkan & his wife in the city of Ankara, Ottoman Empire (Modern day Ankara, Turkiye.)
• Came to the United States with his parents in 1918 just shortly after WWI, with the partionining of the Ottoman Empire taking place and his family essentially wanted to seek refuge from the chaos going on in there and live with his aunt Hande (who is already in Los Angeles)
• However his parents caught the flu as this was also during the Great Influenza pandemic of 1918, both his mother and father unfortunately died shortly after arriving in the United States and settling in.
• The eye amulet / charm hanging from his hip is a gift from his parents before their deaths, and a reminder of his motherland of the Ottoman Empire [Modern day Turkiye]
• A now 7 year old Gavin would be entrusted into his aunt Handes care before his parents would die from the flu; consequently Hande essentially takes him into The Herd and makes him a full fledge member- Knowing that even if she resisted, The Herd would force Gavin into their ranks anyways
• Hes allowed to live a mostly normal life- Go to school (being a very good student; known for his prowless in math competitions and is into statistics specifically) , be with friends, though as he grew older The Herd begins to force him to do duties in The Herd more often.
• Post Handes death, he would be entrusted into Bahadirs essentially by Handes will. Gavin is extremely close to Bahadir, referring to him as 'Ana' ("Mother" in Turkish) and Bahadir sees Gavin as being like his son. They are literally mother & son and nobody can say otherwise-
• Gavin is often seen following his Ana Bahadir around (clinging onto him often) , helping out in his shop as an assistant or otherwise is always around him.
• The gold coin he has is an Ottoman lira coin (a dead currency by PBFP's time), a keepsake from Hande to remember the Ozkan way: "Trust in your blood, trust in yourself". His coin is also involved in the usage of his Special Ability Belirsizlik ("Uncertainty"), using it as a medium to control the effects of his Ability.
