She had a perfect, paceful life with her mate, started a family and had a son. A couple of months after his birth, the Sky people showed up and not too long after they attacked. During the RDA war she fought to protect her home and clan from basically being nuked and lost her mate (husband) while trying to protect their young son from AMP suits trying to take him away. 

Now, a single mother she struggles to cope with her loss, and struggles to raise their son alone. She gives everything she has to take care of the little one and actually is a good mother. But she can simply not see that in herself, can't accept it. She falls into a dark pit without bottom mourning her beloved mate. Spiraling in and out of depression, isolating herself from the rest of the clan.
