Blissful There are few things in this world that can take away Petal’s happiness. Most of them involve some kind of harm befalling others, or when those closest to her are suffering. Barring these specific situations, she is one very happy soosh! Not the kind of over-the-top happy that leaves one bouncing off the walls with energy, but the kind where she’s nearly constantly wearing a serene smile that never fails to light up whatever room she’s in. To Petal, there’s just no reason not to be happy when life is just so wonderful!

Compassionate One of the things Petal is best known for around the shop is being an excellent listener. Her soothing aroma allows people to relax and subsequently open up about their troubles and worries. She can’t exactly talk back, but her encouraging smiles and willingness to let others stroke her fur quickly helps to soothe their deepest fears and anxieties. She could never turn a blind eye to someone who’s in pain or who was just having a bad day, and will stay with them as long as it takes to cheer them up, even at the cost of her own convenience.

Idealist Petal is fortunate enough to have never experienced any kind of hardship in her young life. Because of this, she is a very optimistic soosh who is full of hope and sees the world as puppy dogs and rainbows. When her friends come to her for advice, she often concocts fanciful solutions to their problems in her mind that might work in a perfect world, but are much more complicated in reality - a fact that she still doesn’t fully understand.

Mild-mannered Petal is a relatively reserved and quiet Sushi Dog. Part of this is due to the simple fact that she’s mute and unable to communicate like most members of her species, but a bigger part of it is just because she’s a very gentle being. The term “tranquil” probably describes her the best: her movements are never sudden or unexpected, her face never bears a harsh expression, and the very aura she gives off is soft and welcoming. Rather than get angry or defensive, she becomes skittish and withdrawn in situations that are violent, destructive, or just plain scary, and she tends to cry fairly easily.

Pacifist Most Sushi Dogs aren’t known for violence or aggression, but Petal is especially steadfast when it comes to not harming other living (or even non-living) things. She dislikes any kind of conflict or argument, and would resort to tears before she would ever make so much as a slightly angry face. Whenever she sees such a confrontation take place, she immediately attempts to use her abilities to calm those present into talking rather than yelling. Plants and flowers of all kinds have also earned a spot on her list of things to protect, to the point where she tries to (kindly) prevent anyone - human or otherwise - from picking petals off of stems or carving writing onto trees.
