Few details are known of the Prairie Demon's origin, what is, is recorded below.
When "Prairie Fairchild" was human she belonged to an english family which joined a group of scandanavian farmers trying to settle in the American Praries in the 19th centuary. Trapped in an engagement to a man she did not want to marry she felt the call of The Spiral and The Vast in the endless horizon. Eventually surrenduring to them she bacame what it is now, the other settelers seemingly vanished.Prairie is associated with the Fairchilds despite primarily operating outside of the UK. Her favourite method of hunting is to convince groups to move to her prairie, help drive them insane, and then feed them to the vast. They have also been known to engage in other adjacent tactics with travellers. She seemngly has an affinty for freak weather events and mirages which are both reported in incedents related to her.
In rare instances has been recorded to have tormented people in the form of a horned 'demon'. It is unclear wheather this is something uncommon for them to do.
