the living epitome of “curiosity killed the cat,” cody harbors a great passion for adventure even when it entails danger, albeit his seemingly meek nature.

he’s usually seen meandering the border in search of critters to observe, any forageable trinkets, or bugs skittering past. he absolutely adores insects of any shape or size, no matter how creepy or crawly, eyes instantly lightning up when he’s yammering on about the topic. while he’s not a particularly reclusive cat, he does value his personal time and space, given solitude is something rare as a healer. despite often being described as quiet, reserved, or for lack of better words, “odd”, he’s actually extremely talkative; just not so eloquent. at all. with a thousand things on his mind at all times—whether it be second-guessing some diagnosis he gave, recalling if he restocked herbs, pondering the symptoms of a patient, dwelling on a chat from last night, or a thousand other trivial things all at once—conversation doesn’t always come easy to him. he’s awfully prone to rambling and making jokes that don’t quite land, before inevitably retreating to his den in embarrassment. asking him about his day could either grant you a curt and flustered “good”, or an hour-long chat about the complex anatomy of beetles. of considerate and humble nature, the healer is a people-pleaser at heart, and is often entangled in dilemmas of all sorts. seeing as it’s why he joined bugclan, he feels a dire need to make himself useful, and holds the the sentiment that he still hasn’t proved himself worthy of the part. whether it be mediating a fight between bickering mates, fetching prey for the most sluggish of cats, or babysitting a whole litter of cats, he’s always willing to offer his help—to a fault. .
