♚ Jesper

Born Jesper Khatar of House Damascus he was the son of a wealthy, well known and influential business man and councilman of Solvitas. He youth was an endless parade of wealth, maids and tutors and he grew up with little affection from either of his parents. His father was a firm and daunting figure and his mother a vain woman who was far more interested in parties and political power than her own son.

He received a fine education and took pleasure in learning and acquiring knowledge. He was often found in the library with his nose buried in a book.

Found an affinity for necromancy magic, a power banned in Solvitas and the surrounding kingdoms. When his father discovered this he chose to send his son to a Mage Order in the hope he could find affinity for another magic instead.

Jesper bounced from Order to Order after a number of incidents that led to his expulsion. Ultimately he found himself without a place to sleep and travelled from tavern to tavern, gambling den to gambling den.

At his lowest he meets a man named Locae who owns a series of illicit businesses covered up by legitimate ones and begins to work for him. During this time he learns to play and cheat at cards and Locae keeps him in his employment because he keeps losing all his money.

A few years pass and he ends up escaping Locae's employment and becomes a merchant, building his own business and taking wares across the sea. With knowledge from his time under Locae he also forms his own smuggling side business but with the intention of helping others as well as providing hard-to-come-by items.

His father tries to get in touch with him on occasion but Jesper believes he has closed that chapter of his life.
