Saomai is a cunning lower demon encountered by travelers who intend to conquer the peaks of snowy mountains. Saomai knows exactly how to use this curiosity to his advantage. He becomes a skillful trapper who lures travelers into his cunning traps, and they almost always fall for his bait. When travelers notice this deceptive light, they cannot resist the temptation to approach the source, believing that there, behind the icy scenery, they will find warmth, comfort, or at least something interesting and exciting waiting for them. But when they finally find themselves closer to this mirage, their expectations are shattered by the harsh reality. They realize that they have fallen prey to the wiles of Saomai, who, laughing to himself and delighted at their disappointment, smirks as he watches their faces full of bewilderment and despair.
