Kittrid is generally cold and stoic. He is not expressive and struggles to understand other people's facial expressions. He is distrusting and has a temper that even now he is learning to control as easily as it is to irk him. He's extremely protective, and can be surprisingly nurturing to children, animals, and even the people he cares deeply about.
He is a lot more emotional than he shows. He usually hides it either on accident or to appear tough, perhaps intimidating. He is actually quite timid underneath.
He struggles to understand why someone would care about him with rejection common in his past, even sometimes wondering why his husband still loves him. He can get very strongly attached to people, however, though he rarely expects them to return the favor.
He is quiet, but when he does talk, he usually has a habit of speaking somewhat formally. He finds it pleasant.

Backstory (Summary)

Born in the Netherlands to parents Abagael van den Bos and Aiden van den Bos, and his sister, Saskia. Abagael left Aiden shortly after, marrying Han Karlsson. When Kittrid was five, they moved to a small town in America named Danswell. Han died when Kittrid was nine due to cancer. Since then, his mother's mental state degraded, causing her to slowly become abusive toward Kittrid. Saskia moved when he was 13, which only made Abagael worse toward him, even provoking her to physically abuse him. Saskia tried to gain custody over him, but failed. Kittrid's own mental state degraded quickly. He became extremely suicidal, angry, and would often lash out at others at school. His mother made him stop visiting his sister as well. At 16, an old childhood friend of his caught him in a suicide attempt, taking him to the hospital and later, with his father, offering him a place to stay to be safe. He eventually took their offer, staying at their place often. Rutgar (Will find last name later I'm lazy) and his son, Ram, both helped to teach Kittrid how to cope and helped support him. They grew close, and eventually, Kittrid was able to leave his mother to stay with them.
He grew especially close to Ram, who later became his boyfriend. Eventually, with both of them sick of living in Danswell with bad memories and an unstable job situation, the two of them moved, Rutgar giving them his old car to travel. Ram and Kittrid were later unofficially married, and at this point have been together for 13 years. (Married for 8.) They continue to travel from situation to situation.
