Carlyle

Carlyle started out as a sort of show grem who's owner treated them more like an item than an aware individual. They were hardly allowed to enjoy anything outside of the busy show schedule and rigorous training to stay in prime shape. This lack of emotion in Lyles' upbringing now leads them to be unintentionally cold/flat when trying to empathise with people they care about. He understands but has a really hard time conveying certain emotions. Carlyle's show career ended when one of their greatest fears inevitably came to fruition, Lyles' owners felt they were getting too old to compete in shows and gave them up. Lyles was free but had no skills aside from manners and looks.

Lyles now works in one of Palleth's large cities as a bartender. They are trying to work towards the equivalent of a high school degree and maybe one day some college level classes. Lyles lives in a small appartment that doesn't feel homely and avoids doing anything that reminds them of show days. Although a modelling job might suit them, their anxiety prevents them from pursuing that path.

This grem is a bit of a flirt which suits them fine. They enjoy going around to different party spots letting others buy things for them. They like having fun, wild nights and making drama. Of course this makes their mornings and week days pretty lonely. The more they make weak connections or bad relationship choices, the more they hate what they have done but they continue to go out to try and connect with others.

They lack self confidence and believe they are hollow or without real personality someone could genuinely feel attachment to. If in a relationship, they constantly do things to either get attention or to test their partner.

Friends:

Charlie- Lyles' friend from before quiting the grem shows and the abandonment of his owners. Charlie has good intentions but does not fully understand Carlyle's fears surrounding going into modeling or related careers. He believes that Carlyle would find much more success and sometimes too forwardly offers to link Carlyle to people he knows in the business, only intending on getting Carlyle back on their feet. In Charlie's eyes, Carlyle is in a deep rut.
