Backstory:

Drake quickly rose to internet stardom through his YouTube channel, which is mostly comprised of vlogs, conspiracy theories, terrible "rap" music, and the occasional pranks videos. His good looks and charismatic, high-energy personality make him especially popular among young girls, though many older adults find his content unappealing. Being very attentive to current trends, Drake was quick to exploit any clickbait material for his own gain. In recent months, he attempted to capitalize on the trending topic of superheroes, often trying to expose their secret identities or catch their exploits on film. In secret, Drake uses his profits from merchandise and ad revenue to fund his supervillain schemes. His current fixation is developing mind control technology, in hopes of someday having power over the entire world.

PERSONALITY:

Drake is obnoxiously loud and egotistical, obsessed with his personal  style and ever-growing subscriber count. Behind the hyperactive and  seemingly immature persona, however, he hides a very different side of  himself. Unbeknownst to his raving fans, he is a cold and calculating  criminal mastermind, posing as a shallow, brainless celebrity to divert  any suspicion. He thrives on attention from his fans, even taking  offense when someone doesn't treat him like an idol. Due to his  superiority complex, his relationships with other people tend to be  short-lived, founded in manipulation or idolization, rather than genuine  connection. Despite what some would be led to believe, he is not  completely devoid of empathy, though he has far less compared to the  majority of people. Drake makes every effort to suppress any feelings of  vulnerability, believing that emotion makes him weak.

In Violet Spider's universe, Drake never becomes a Youtuber hellbent on controlling the world. Instead, he gets a job as an intern at a TV studio, hoping that the gig will eventually lead to an opportunity to advance his own entertainment career. As a hobby, he's interested in alien conspiracy theories, and ends up in contact with a symbiote after snooping around a labratory rumored to have live alien samples. The symbiote, Virus, forms a bond with Drake and brings out his more sadistic nature. Virus is hyper-energetic and severely bloodthirsty, and Drake quickly aligns himself to the symbiote's will. They go on a feeding frenzy across the city-- until Violet Spider is forced to intervene.
