MIGUI • ADULT • HE/HIM
Migui is a robot built by a man named Beta, who specializes in building robots. Migui was one of his first projects, and is also now his pride and joy.
This robot runs on caffeine as an energy source; Migui "drinks" coffee to sustain energy and keep his systems going. Though, it's a very low-end energy source for something as complex as a robot- this means that Migui isn't the brightest at times, since he is using "minimal processing power" (there may or may not be magic involved in Migui's creation and function).
However, Migui does work with his husband at his coffee shop. Felix and Migui both work together at a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop on the East coast of the U.S.
His name is pronounced like "my guy." Beta is not very clever with names.
BACKSTORY_
Migui's creator is named Beta. As a young adult, Beta had a troubled history- he got into a car accident at a young age, which eventually led him into robotics- his ankles and right hand are replaced with metallic augments due to the accident.
Beta had a pet cat that passed away one night. He was extremely upset, but he wanted to build a robot in memorial for his cat. He went on to build one of his first robots and named it "Migui." Migui was very primitive at the time; a simple CRT with a funny personality and learning AI.
Beta's friend, Felix, wanted a companion, so Beta thought that he could put a little more work into Migui and give him a body withsome junkyard scraps he found. After doing the work, Migui became much more sentient, and became very close to Felix- they fell in love at a point, and in present day, are married.
FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE_
What Beta didn't know, nor does Migui or anyone else within the family know, is that Migui's scrap metal body is made of an ancient demon called Za Goredrinker. This Goredrinker was the original sin of wrath, and had accounts of heinous war crimes against humanity. His punishment was for his body to be melted down into pieces of metal and scattered across the Earth.
Meanwhile, Beta unknowingly used these pieces of metal to build his robot- most older demons can walk into the coffee shop of Migui and Felix and hear the whispers (some even hear screams) of Za Goredrinker pleading to be free.
