TRIVIA
- Despite the fact of her being my Asura-sona, she was my eighth Asura that I've created.
Like all asura, Riina also has a high degree of self-confidence. However, this sometimes falters relatively easily when she finds herself in a situation that catches her off guard. Unpredictable moments unsettle her at first and it takes a few moments before she feels confident again.
She is usually rather quiet and prefers to work alone, but she is also a team player and can quickly and easily integrate herself into the group's workflow. However, she is very allergic to others criticizing her work, especially if they have little or no knowledge of it themselves. However, she is happy to accept constructive suggestions - whether these are implemented is another matter.
For a mesmer, however, she is helpful most of the time and can sometimes bring herself to help other life forms who are not as clever and skillful as she is, with small portals. Riina usually has a friendly, direct nature, but in some situations almost too shy for an asura. If she feels good will towards her companion, she is happy to offer her help without being asked. However, every now and then she also reveals a mean and very vindictive nature, taking full advantage of illusions to cause confusion or to steal away from unpleasant or annoying confrontations in order to get her peace of mind as quickly as possible. Accordingly, her nature could be described as rather difficult to understand.
Riina is sincere and loyal to her comrades on the battlefield, regardless of race. She would not hesitate to help if it was in her power to do so - after all, you can easily find yourself in that situation. Once the young asura has formed an emotional bond with someone, she cherishes and nurtures it devotedly. Only cheat and betrayal could put an end to her loyalty.
Riina is an Asura Mesmer from the College of Synergetics. In her spare time, like many other Asura, she likes to tinker with new projects, but they primarily revolve around golems. Small, medium, giant, floating, walking, it doesn't matter. Riina's golems stand out in particular because each one is very individual and original. Somehow she always manages to give her creations a personal and unmistakable touch.
Thus, despite the building instructions she has developed, each golem is unique on the outside and can be compared to a walking work of art. In this way, she has somehow managed to make a name for herself, as her "signature" is now well known. The AI is not really something she would say she knows a lot about, but so far it has been enough to give the golems at least a slightly individualized standard personality. Her finished works always mean a lot to her, and she often finds it hard to give them up to a client. Like every self-respecting golemant, she also takes part in golem competitions from time to time. At the very beginning she was made fun of because her works of art were not suitable for battle. But it soon became clear that Riina also had plenty of ideas for interesting combat moves and that she could often come up with a surprise in her combat golems.
Evil tongues claim that their golems have so much attention to detail simply to distract from the shabby interior, including the AI. "Beautifully packaged garbage dump" is just one of the examples she has had to listen to. In reality, however, Riina only uses the best materials. She often travels all over Tyria to do so. Fortunately, as a mesmer, this is easy, as her portals through space and time can shorten some of the routes. Nevertheless, she would be lying if she claimed that such rude accusations or even attempted manipulation would not hurt her. Of course, she wouldn't show this to the outside world.Every now and then, Riina pays a visit to former clients to see how her 'favorites' are being treated. If she finds out that her golems are not treated well, or are even deliberately plucked apart again in order to get their hands on the usually very high-quality or rare materials she has used, she can become extremely angry. The only exception to this is her misstep of a trade agreement she once made with the Inquest. The problem with this was that she was not told who the real clients were until the end. It was only at the end that she accidentally found out that the suspicious client was a member of the Inquest. Of course, she was then no longer willing to either finish or hand over the work, but as is so usual for the Inquest, they simply get what they want and she alone had little chance of resisting them. Since then, she has been quite suspicious of everything and everyone.
The young asura is a silent admirer of Professor Gorr. She has attended every one of his lectures so far and often shares his opinions. She almost burst with pride when she received his permission to assist him. She enjoys spending a lot of time in Professor Gorr's laboratory and occasionally provides illusions when an extra pair of hands or test objects are required. She always finds working with the professor very inspiring and learns something new every time.
They now know each other so well that Riina is even involved in very confidential matters. Thanks to him and his countless researches and expeditions about the Elder Dragons and especially those in the direction of Orr and Zhaitan, she has even learned to read and write Old Orrian script. Although she hardly had to learn it, it developed almost automatically the more she wanted to deal with it for reasons of research. Riina was also already involved in his theory that dragons consume magic and had made a significant contribution to successfully confirming and finalizing it.
Norn: In the presence of norn, Riina always fears being trampled by them. Even though she doesn't know much about their traditions and animal worship, she always finds it interesting to listen to their stories. She is very good at talking to Norn about her little passion for taking care of cute little animals.
Charr: Apart from her "dislike" of pure white charr, she actually likes the big cat-like creatures quite a lot. If you have them on your side in battle, they are definitely comrades you can rely on, and Riina appreciates that.
Humans: Riina often smiles at humans and can't help but be sarcastic towards them. However, honor to whom honor is due, she cannot deny being at least a little impressed by how these people have developed. Nevertheless, a small spark of amusement remains, no matter how magnificent and impressive they have built their cities, or what trustworthy allies they may be on the battlefield.
Sylvari: Riina can't deny that she somehow finds the green plant creatures very interesting and would like to learn more about them. The mostly naive and carefree nature of the sylvari often amuses Riina when she listens to them. Not because she sees herself as better or smarter, but because their manner is somehow refreshing to her. She finds Sylvari's presence inspiring and reassuring. Her way of thinking has often made Riina see a situation from a new perspective and overcome mental blocks. She has great respect for the Firstborn, especially Trahearne.
Asura: In the presence of her own people, Riina naturally behaves in typical "asuric" fashion. From pompous shop talk to arrogant know-it-all attitude, she can also throw the whole range of barely pronounceable foreign words at you. However, she also has an introverted and shy side, as well as a side that is completely atypical of asura. As you would expect from mesmers, she has many faces. Only those who have won her trust get to see her true, rather fragile self.
Tezzus and Riina become a couple on the "Tezziina Timeline". She loves him with all heart and supports his job as Commander. She would follow him to the end of the world.
Raixx and Riina become a couple on the "Raixxiina Timeline". It wasn't love at first sight, he had a very hard time to steal her heart. But once he succeeded, nothing can break their relationship.
Ruukt is one of her best friends. He sometimes helps her with the AI of her Golem creations and manages to always cheer her up.
The Elementalist with the Name Aurion, is a very close friend of Riina. He always has an open ear or advice if she needs any.
