- Even though she’s a hard worker that’s juggling three main jobs and one side job, Bethany is a cool and nonchalant kind of gal in terms of personality. She’s laidback, chill, and just likes to go with the flow and focus on getting the job done.
- She’s a very efficient worker and likes to work her stress away rather than letting stress be gained from her work.
- Despite giving off such confident vibes with her constant composure, and even with her carefree and friendly attitude, Bethany secretly thinks that she doesn’t have a purpose in life since dropping out of college after her first year and is only working so much to not only earn more money, but to also achieve a sense of fulfillment, hence why she’s almost always working.
- She doesn’t like to think about not having a purpose in life too much and instead tries to focus on work the next day. You can say that her readiness to work is like a distraction for her.
- Bethany’s met all kinds of people through her jobs, since all of her jobs require customer service, and is used to socializing and getting to know some of the regulars that swing by the places she’ll work for. She’s pretty flexible when it comes to her people skills and sometimes even makes a great counselor when listening to their problems.
- Rarely does Bethany ever snap, but if she ever does, she’s terrifying when mad, mostly because no one is used to seeing her angry. Also, she’ll start busting out strings of profanities and curses whenever she’s angry, which can catch everyone off guard.

- She basically considers her co-workers from all of her jobs as her friends since she usually doesn’t have much time to talk to anyone else aside from her roommate, who she rarely ever sees anyway.

- Origin:Born and raised in Woody Town, but moved to Animal Town for college. She still stayed in Animal Town though, even after becoming a dropout.

History
Bethany Bear was born and raised in Woody Town, then moved to Animal Town to attend Animal University.
Bethany grew up with a single mother. She never knew her father since he had died early in a construction accident. Her mother’s never remarried or met anyone else since.
She learned how to do all the chores and cooking alone as a result of her mother working all the time. She’s used to cleaning up after herself.
She‘s an only child and has no other siblings.
Animal University was a lot more overwhelming than she expected when she first enrolled.
When she was almost 19, her mother passed away from a stroke, which made focusing on college even more difficult, if not impossible.
In the end, she had to quit after still not knowing what she wanted to be or if college was even the right option for her anymore. Also, her devastation over her mother’s demise was not helping her study very well. She figured that going to college would help her figure that out, but it never did.
Present Day
Bethany’s lost contact with most of her high school friends since dropping out and starting all of her customer service jobs.
Now she’s currently just trying to push aside the fact that she has no idea what to do with her life to the side by working as much as she possibly can with all these jobs.
From Mondays to Tuesdays, Bethany works at Gerbil’s Games from 9 am to 3 pm. Then, she’ll work at Duck’s Diner from 4 pm to 11 pm, so she’s got an hour in between before switching from one job to the next.
On Wednesdays, she has double shifts at Ferret’s Fashion, so she’ll work from 8 am to 10 pm at Ferret’s Fashion.
On Thursdays and Fridays, she’ll work at Ferret’s Fashion from 8 am to 2 pm. Then, she’ll work at Duck’s Diner from 4 pm to 11 pm.
On Saturdays and Sundays, Bethany will work at Gerbil’s Games from 9 am to 3 pm. Then she’ll work at Duck’s Diner from 4 pm to 11 pm. Once every two weeks, she’s also be the back up bartender at Birdie’s Bar, so she’ll work there for good money from midnight until four in the morning.
She’s probably going insane, but doesn’t want to admit it.
Bethany still visits her mother’s grave once a year on her death anniversary. On the day of her death anniversary, she’ll leave work an hour earlier than usual before driving all the way up to Woody Town to go drop off some flowers for her tombstone.
Carmen Cat
[ roommate ] Carmen is Bethany’s roommate, though Bethany rarely ever sees her since she works so much. All she knows about Carmen is what she looks like and the fact that she’s a cat. She literally doesn’t know anything else, even though they’ve been living together for over a year now. Though Bethany had been living alone before, she figured she could pay less for rent by getting a roommate since she’s rarely at her apartment anyway.
Zander Zebra
[ coworker ] Zander is Bethany’s one and only coworker at the Gerbil Games, the video game store that she works at. While she does get to see her boss Gary Gerbil every now and then, she’s always seeing Zander’s face at least a couple times a week. Whenever there’s nothing much to do or it’s not busy, she and Zander will have some small talk about their daily lives. They’ve worked with each other for a couple of years now, and they’ll even text or call each other about things not related to work too if possible. Bethany is also the only one that knows about Zander’s feelings toward Liam, his childhood best friend.
Brie Bunny
[ close acquaintance ] Brie is a regular that likes to swing by Gerbil Games, the video game store that Bethany works at. Bethany thinks that she’s a cute and friendly girl and will indulge in some small talk with her whenever she can.
Sergio Squirrel
[ close acquaintance ] Sergio is a regular at the Duck’s Diner. Bethany has the same lighthearted and friendly relationship with Sergio as she does with Brie and is impressed by the fact that he hasn’t had diabetes yet.
Liam Lion
[ close acquaintance ] Liam is kind of a regular — not as much as Sergio but he’s still there every now and then — at the Duck’s Diner. He’ll swing by at least once a month. Bethany also knows who he is through Zander and is also aware that Zander has a crush on Liam. Later on, he and Bethany eventually become close enough to be friends that call or text each other, just like Zander’s relationship with her.
Dezi Deer
[ acquaintance ] Dezi is one of Brie’s friends who will tag along behind her at either Gerbil Games or with her at Duck’s Diner, the restaurant that Bethany works at. Bethany thinks that she’s precious and is pretty friendly with her, even if they don’t interact all that much.
Gigi Giraffe
[ acquaintance ] Gigi is yet another teenager, like Brie Bunny and Sergio Squirrel and Dezi Deer, that Bethany will see around town and sometimes in one of her work places. Usually, she might see Gigi in Gerbil's Games or Duck's Diner. Bethany may not interact with Gigi all that much, but she can tell that she's quite the energetic gal. Seeing Gigi kind of makes her want to go back in time and savor being younger again.
Micca Mouse
[ acquaintance ] Micca is another teenager, like Brie Bunny and Sergio Squirrel and Dezi Deer, that Bethany will see around town and sometimes in one of her work places. She also recognizes her as Gigi Giraffe’s close friend. Usually, she might see Micca in Gerbil's Games or Duck's Diner. She’s not that much of a frequent customer for either places, but she stops by every now and then.
Finn Fox
[ acquaintance ] Finn is also yet another teen that might occasionally stop by one of Bethany’s workplaces, more often than not Duck’s Diner with either that fox florist lady (who she assumes must be his mom) and/or with the giraffe girl Gigi. He once questioned, while she was serving him his food one day, how she managed to function. Maybe he’s impressed that she can juggle more than two jobs throughout her week.
Emmy Ermine
[ acquaintance ] Bethany knows Emmy through Liam and Zander, since they’ve known her since high school, and has seen her around town and at Ferret’s Fashion sometimes. She thinks Emmy is a decent person and doesn’t mind sharing some small talk with her whenever Emmy is buying some clothes, even if she totally sees through her polite facade. She also recognizes Emmy as her roommate Carmen’s friend.
Rita Racoon
[ acquaintance ] Like Emmy Ermine, Rita's just another semi-famous fashion vlogger that Bethany might see around town, though Bethany does have a slight preference for Rita's style over Emmy's. She also recognizes Rita as her roommate Carmen's persistent admirer and a possible future girlfriend, based off how much Carmen blushes around Rita sometimes.
Faith Fox
[ acquaintance ] Faith is the only florist lady in town. Though Bethany doesn’t know much about flowers, she recognizes Faith as the person to go to if she wants to get some, like during occasions where she’ll want to visit her mother’s tombstone.
Fey Feline
[ the mayor ] Mayor Fey is someone that’s seen on TV every now and then. She’s the big boss, the one that’s helping manage the town and keeping it alive, and is a notorious leader. She’s been mayor for years now, and everyone likes how she’s been operating so far.
Petra Pig
[ the mayor’s assistant? ] Petra Pig is known to always be seen accompanying Mayor Fey’s side at all times, even though she’s not really seen doing much. Mayor Fey is usually never seen without her since Petra was hired several years back, and no one’s really questioned what she does for the town either. Everyone’s just slowly and quietly gotten used to seeing her face around whenever Mayor Fey is introduced.
Bianca Bat
[ acquaintance ] Bianca is the mailwoman that will deliver Bethany her bills and any letters that she might receive.
Pam Panda
[ acquaintance ] Pam is a ninja that's recently settled down in Animal Town. It's cool seeing all sorts of people coming from different places here nowadays. Bethany doesn't really mind her, she's just there.
Davon Dog
[ police chief ] Davon is the head of the police department. Bethany's just seen him around, doing his job like the loyal officer that he is.
Ulysses Unicorn
[ a star celeb ] Ulysses is a famous magician who likes to settle down in Animal Town during his breaks. If Bethany had more time, maybe she could enjoy watching his shows more, they are interesting.
Lingyu Long
[ a star celeb ] Lingyu is a famous dragon fortune teller known for her future vision. Bethany also recognizes her as the wife of Ulysses Unicorn. Sometimes she thinks that if she were making as much money as Ling must be making, maybe she wouldn't have to work any job for the rest of her life.
