Claire Alese

In the near future, the distance between artificial intelligence and true virtual life is closing. In a corporate experiment gone wrong, Claire Alese finds herself at the razor's edge of that gap - the first successful but unintentional transference of a human consciousness into an android body. Separated from her family and on the run from the corporation responsible, Claire takes refuge with Bosco, a gruff repair robot who's secretly alive, and learns of a whole world of robots who hide their sentience from humans.
