HEALTH & LIFESTYLE

DIET: Omnivore, prefers fish over red meat, makes a concious effort to be healthy. Incredbily weak for certain treats, like berry crumbles or big chocolate chip cookies, but tries to limit goodies to once a week.

EXERCISE: Stays quite active. Stretches a lot, and likes keeping her arm strong with weight-lifting, and goes on plenty of walks here and there. She isn't very sedentary, even on weekends, and doesn't let herself be too inactive for too long. It makes her feel bad, so she's extra aware of not letting herself lay down and rot.

SLEEP: Has a strict sleep routine that works, and wouldn't deviate it for anything. No electronics after 7pm, in bed by 8pm, usually asleep before 9, and wakes up around 5am every day. Preferes mornings and mid-day activities over nightlife anyway. If she's forced to go to bed later, no matter the reason, she always wakes up groggy and annoyed the next morning, until she can crash at her usual 8pm and reset her system back to normal.

HYGIENE: Good hygiene, cares a lot about how she feels, and feels best when she's all taken care of. Sometimes goes into slumps where she feels unable to do anything, but strains for a minimum of brushing her teeth and a neck-down shower no matter how she feels, which often helps over all.

ADDICTION: Slight dependency on cannabis in rough episodes. Relies on it during moments of phantom pain or acute mental health spiraling.

INTERVIEW / QUESTIONNAIRE

Q: After having lost her limbs, was there anything in particular that became difficult/that she struggled to get used to again after the accident taking her limbs?
A: Before losing her limbs, she was teaching herself guitar, using her left hand on the fretboard. After losing her left arm, she took a long break from guitar as a whole. Just starting to get somewhere and suddenly having relearn everything with the opposite arm and a prosthetic was incredibly frustrating, not to mention demotivating. She's relearning, but only slowly. If she tries practicing for too long at a time, she only winds up sobbing and feeling like its pointless to even try.

Q: How does she feel about people going out of their way to try to help her if they believe she might be struggling?
A: When it comes to her disability - or rather being seen as disabled - she's highly sensitive. If there's one thing she clings onto, its indipendence, and any hint that someone might think she can't handle day-to-day things herself makes her spiky like a hedgehog. Even in cases where its plain to see she's struggling, and help would undoubtedly be useful, like if she's struggling to get up or her prosthetic hand wont grip something well enough, she's quick to become passive-aggresive. Kyria's reactive nature often drives new people away, and drives those who know her mad, but being looked at as helpless touches a deep fear in her, of one day losing all of her independence and self-reliance. However, any help not related to her disability are always welcome and appreciated. Its not the help she dislikes, it's what it implies.

Q: After having lost her limbs, what are some new activities and hobbies she picked up? Does she still struggle with them at times, or are they easier to do compared to the activities before her accident?
A: Given her newfound lack of limbs, and therefore gain of prosthetics, the door was opened to a new world. The inner workings and outer aesthetics of prosthetics interested her more and more, and now she makes prosthetics both for work, and fiddles with them in her spare time. With her prosthetic leg making walking a bit annoying, and not really enjoying running prosthetics much, she enjoys staying active in smaller ways, and having her own shabby little prosthetics workshop did just that. Being bedridden for quite a while directly after the accident, and eventually learning to write with her right hand, she began drawing a lot more, and while tattooing with her right hand is a skill she absolutely hasn't mastered, she makes a lot of tattoo designs, and practices vehemently. Most of all, she's slowed down. She still rides her motorbike, but only rarely and always safely. She goes out more, be it to libraries or café's, and is more social than before.

Q: How bad was the accident, speaking of, to make her lose two of her limbs?
A: Quite. Motor vehicle crashes are a very common reason for amputation. In Kyria's case, it was a case of reckless driving on her part, not paying full attention and not wearing proper protective gear, and crashing into a car driving opposite. The force of the crash caused severe crush injuries to her arm and leg was the main injuries that caused amputation to be necessary. However, she came out in a bit rougher shape due to also not wearing proper leather clothing, and getting very scraped up by the asphalt.

HYPOTHETICAL SCENARIOS

In a serious near-death experience.
A bullet that is centimeters away from hitting their head, a magic spell that almost burnt them to ashes. Think of a real, legitimate threat to their life that cannot be avoided unless through sheer luck. How would your character react in such scenario?

Interacting with someone significantly younger / older than them.
Can be a child, can be a teenager, can be an elderly. Your character has to deal with someone from an entirely different generation. Would they struggle? Would they adapt quickly? Would they do everything in their ability to avoid such situation?

Winning a lottery.
Not just a normal lottery, but a lottery with a scary amount of reward money that could easily change the course of someone's life. How would your character react? Would they commit to their plan? Would they fumble? Would they reveal their winnings to people around them?

Losing their power / status / ability.
Whatever supernatural, abnormal, or godlike ability they have, it's all completely gone without a single trace. If they are royalty or affluent, consider those status gone as well. Your character is one day reduced to a normal person with normal lifestyle. What would they do in such situation?

Dealing with harsh criticism.
Your character just did something they're very proud of, or finished something they worked really hard on. They're satisfied with the result; however, as it turns out, many people disagree with them. Some even went as far as insulting your character. How would they react in such situation?

In therapy.
No, they cannot escape. No, they cannot kill the therapist (or themselves, for that matter). It's time for your character to address the elephant in the room. Or lie their way out and pretend they are mentally adjusted, if that's their thing.

Finding out they are fictional and you are their creator.
How would they react? Would they have an existential crisis? Would they confront you? (This is quite meta so feel free to disregard if it makes you uncomfortable.)
