Intro
Oliver is an almost overly friendly young kitsune, showing affection to everyone and everything he comes across. Oliver is well known in Gensokyo for his transient nature, often appearing in your kitchen one minute, before disappearing into your neighbor's backyard the next. This is a testiment to his short attention span.
Regardless of how inconvenient this may be, Oliver is a welcome sight to many in the Human Village. Most residents greet him and offer him snacks upon seeing him, while others take the opportunity to wash his clothing and toys.
As most little kids are, Oliver is very curious and finds himself asking questions often. His inquisitive nature has also made him rather adventurous; Oliver loves having his own expeditions in areas of Gensokyo he has yet to explore.

Kitsune are mischievous spirits, capable of transforming between a fox, and the form of a human mortal. Kitsune's human forms are imperfect, however; many times, a kitsune's tail, ears, or even paws will be visible in their human form. Some kitsune prefer hiding their tails under their skirts, or their ears underneath a hat.
Oliver is a ginger, his kitsune ears and tail matching his root color. Oliver's eyes are green, as commonly seen in redheads. Finising this look are light freckles covering the bridge of his nose.
Oliver enjoys cute styled clothing, often even choosing to wear girls' clothing if he likes it. As a kitsune with little understanding of human culture, Oliver is not opposed to wearing skirts or dresses. Currently, Oliver is quite obsessed with his frog raincoat, and will insist on wearing it even during sunny weather.
Oliver adores socks of all types, and owns many pairs. The cuter, the better.

About
Oliver is friendly and kind, with a child-like curiousity to boot. Oliver tends to ask so many questions, he'll ask another before anyone could even answer the previous question. Many find Oliver's wonder for the world to be endearing, but there are others who find him to be a little annoying; as a naive child though, Oliver is completely oblivious to anyone he may be irritating.
Like many other children, Oliver loves to talk. He enjoys sharing anything new he has learned with just about anyone willing to listen, and will begin incessantly chattering until he inevitably gets distracted. In addition to this, Oliver loves to tell stories; he'll insist they are stories of real events, but they're probably just something he came up with on the spot.
As a result of his curious nature, Oliver loves to explore. This is often with little to no regard for the well-being of those around him, or even his own. Luckily for him, his fox form grants him the agility to quickly flee if he needs to. This isn't so lucky for anyone left behind to clean up his messes.
Trivia
- Unlike most little kids, Oliver loves bath time. He enjoys brushing his tail while it dries.
- According to Oliver, Fen bakes the best cookies. She actually just buys them from the market, shhh...
- Oliver loves bugs! He gets along well with the firefly youkai, Wriggle.
- The name Oliver means "descendant". Oliver has no known surname.
- Oliver enjoys playing with the other young fairies and youkai like Cirno and Aunn.
Magic and Abilities
Shapeshifting
Kitsune are notable for their transformation abilities; they are capable of switching between human form and fox form at will. These abilities are not fool proof however, as a kitsune in human mortal form have several key factors that may give away their true identities. This typically includes fox-like ears, or fluffy tails.
Oliver himself is no exception, his tail and ears both visible regularly. His kitsune ears are sometimes hidden underneath his raincoat hood, however.
Manipulation
Kitsune are globally recognized by their mischievous natures; this is aided by their natural ability to manipulate others. Along side shapeshifting, kitsune are capable of passively influencing their victims to trust their word. This ability progresses slowly, as the mortal in question is unlikely to believe the kitsune; their doubt will begin to fade over the course of their conversation however, until by the end they trust the kitsune fully. Kitsune rarely use this ability to harm mortals, as they are simply playful spirits and not dangerous to those they trick.
Oliver is inexperienced in this field; due to his young age, Oliver has trouble successfully pulling this skill off. When he does however, he usually uses it to recieve extra cookies or stay up a few more minutes before bedtime.
In contrast to this ability, kitsune are notable for being extremely loyal to those they trust. It may be difficult to earn the trust of a kitsune, but once you do, they will happily do anything to prove their loyalty.
Illusionary Arts
Kitsune are masters of illusion; they are able to trick a human into seeing almost anything. Most kitsune tend to use this ability to play harmless pranks and cause general mischief, although there is room for malice with an ability such as this.
As with other kitsune abilities, illusions can vary greatly in quality depending on how old and how experienced the user is. Experienced kitsune can trick even the most foolproof of humans, although reaching mastery of this skill may require centuries of practice.
At this point in time, Oliver has not developed this skill due to his young age.
