Ara

•Backstory•

Born into a wealthy family and raised in Alpha City, Ara had most of her life handed to her on a silver platter. She had access to the lastest technology and best education, and was never short of getting anything she wanted. Unfortunately, this had been a huge factor in her "majorism" and she saw Alpha as the superior major, and the thought of living out of it was unfathomable. She had a knack for all things technical, which lead to her landing a job at Velocity as a product designer. This fate was bright from the very beginning, as it's rare for a wealthy individual from a wealthy family to not succeed in the first place.

However, one day, Ara's overly confident nature bested her.

Velocity had been illegally manufacturing sentience chips intended for robots/Vi of different brands and companies. This was swept under the rug after generous amounts of money was offered, and loop holes in legalities were found. Ara was not part of this fraud, but with a little bit of planning, she managed to steal a few of the chips from the company. She then travelled to Metro City, disguised as a poor citizen, and sold the sentience chips at the Black Market. Sentience chips were generally viewed as something that was cheap and didn't work well, so she wasn't as successful as she had hoped. However, she did manage to land a sale, from a young man named Sam.

It didn't take long for Velocity to discover that some of their inventory were stolen, and it took them even less time to find out who was responsible for it. That was it. Ara was fired from her job. To add, as consequence for revealing company secrets (as the chips had not yet been put on the market) and for illegally distributing them, bounty hunter Destery was sent on a job to kill her. To this day, she doesn't know who specifically hired him, but it had to be by someone who was desperate to make sure she never came back.

Ara was being hunted. She decided to flee Alpha City for her own safety, as she knew that Destery was honing in on her. She even narrowly survived an attack from him, espacing with all but her left arm. After this, she packed up and moved to Monsoon Town, and chose to live a middle to lower class life. After a total fashion change, a haircut and contact lenses, Ara had successful integrated herself into the new culture and environment.

•Ongoing Story•

Currently, Ara resides in Monsoon Town in a cheap apartment by herself. She runs miscellaneous errands around the city to make additional money. Her engineering skills benefit her greatly, and she takes an interest in mechanics and vehicles. She is still on the run from Destery, who is still tracking her down, but could either be terrible at his job, or could have his own reasons as to why he's not ending her life. Only he knows, really.

She is still very well off, especially since she obtained extra money from selling her house in Alpha, but chooses to live the poorer lifestyle.

•Physical Appearance•

Ara is quite dark skinned, is 5 foot 10 inches tall, and weighs roughly 80kg. Her hair reaches the bottom of her face, but the right side of her head is shaved.

All of her piercings are on the left side of her face. She has 2 in her eyebrow, one on her nose, one on her lip and a stretcher in her ear lobe.

She mostly wears black. This includes a long, black trenchcoat, black boots and black pants. The rest of her outfit is different shades of purple. She wears a casual top, a scarf, wrist bands on her right arm, as well as a fingerless glove on the same hand. She also has a cloth around her waist, which is connected to a singular belt that droops down along with it. The inner part of her boots are purple, as are the soles/bottoms. The boots are platformed. Her black trenchcoat has purple diamond patterns around the chest, and straight lines around the torso, that resemble circuits. The trenchcoat has a hoodie on it, which makes hiding in crowds easy. Ara has very modest clothing, and can cover her identity easily.

Her left arm is robotic, and responds to her nervous signals, acting like an almost perfect human arm. It has purple circuits along its exterior, and resmbles a human arm accurately. The elbow has a separate joint that always bending of the arm, as does the wrist. Both joints are black bulbs, but the elbow joint is more interior, and basically looks and works like a real elbow. The fingers are all attached individually, and it makes the hand look the most robotic.

•Personality•

Because of Ara's upbringing, she is very pretentious and smug. She has a high amount of majorism, and believes Alpha to be the best city out of all of them. However, her bigotry is heavily lessened once she is forced to live a lower class life, but she still spends a lot of her time wishing she could go back to the superior city. She has been known to be a little hot-headed, and it wasn't uncommon to hear her screaming and throwing things around her office while designing. She is also excessively confident, which can almost be seen as being egotistical. She is confident Destery will never complete his mission, and she was even feeling that cockiness when she fought with him and lost her arm. She had been trained to fight since a young age, so is very agile, fit and quick.

Despite her pretentious nature, she is very resourceful, intelligent and quick-witted. Once she lead a poorer life, she became defiant to authority. Though, if she had casually stolen the chips and felt entitled enough to sell them illegally, she obviously didn't have much regard for the law to begin with.

Ara, to no surprise, is an extrovert.

As she lives her new life in Monsoon, a lot of her more "unfavourable" character traits are less obvious, and she does end up learning a thing or two about being humble and giving. Still, despite her progress, she is still, well, a bitch.

•Relationships•

Ara absolutely adores Rain, and is extremely intigued by their sentience. She had wished she had worked on the sentience chips, but was impressed with Velocity's work either way. She spends a lot of time asking Rain existential questions.
