- Being the oldest and the first to leave foster care, Rose felt immediate responsibility and had to find a job for herself and to win custody of her younger brothers. She suffers from depression and anxiety and copes by occupying herself in work and giving herself more things to do such as stress cleaning or stress eating. However, the stress eating is usually a splurge of food over the course of 2 weeks before she finds something else to busy herself and neglect feeding herself.

- Rose suffered most of the abuse from her previous guardian, her uncle, which worsened her anxiety and caused her to distance herself from her brothers. While she still cared for them deeply, she could not make the effort to strengthen their relationships from her fear that she was a bad sister.

"What matters is that I'm alive and that I made it. Nothing can stop me now."

- Rose is now a part-time student in a community college for her first year alongside her brother Shawn and is working at the same time to support them all. She's finding help and attempting to build new friendships, often times she will still pull back but with time and patience, she will find peace within herself and amongst others. There is still very much she needs to learn, but she's willing to make an effort now to understand. For the most part, she prefers to be in the background and be a shadow behind her brothers as she believes that all she does, she will do for them.
