Umbrakinesis

While he rarely uses it, Davie has the ability to control darkness and shadows. He mostly relies on physical strength and durability for offense, so he has mostly only uses it for shadow teleportation or special effects during concerts/videos.

Immortality / Regeneration

Being a demon, it's incredibly difficult to kill Davie, or even seriously harm him for that matter. While most demons are already tough, Davie's very thick-headed even by demon standards. Dude can take a punch and rock with the best of them. Probably part of why he's so lax about brawls and makes easy friends that way.

About

Davie is an imposing figure, being a 7 foot demon built like a brick shithouse, but he's actually a very kind and somewhat anxious person. He suffers from intense social anxiety pretty frequently, where his usual response is to either overcompensate, or withdraw entirely get quiet and keep to himself. His tendency to do the latter has probably been why he's able lay low so well during his band's hiatus. Despite this, he's a fairly sociable person and thrives on social interaction and community engagement, and he makes friends pretty easily. Like, wildly easily, he's the kinda dude who you start getting into a brawl with in a bar and then 10 minutes later you're laughing together over a pint.

Davie currently works at a record store in a large building that also has a comic shop and board games/ttrpg shop on the second and basement floors respectively. He has several regulars he gets along with, and a few he doesn't. It's a fairly lax job, where he somehow manages to rarely get recognized, and when he does it's often in half-recognitions or awkward conversations a la Tony Hawk's twitter. He spends a fair amount of downtime at the shop working on ideas for the band's next album, post-hiatus.

HE/\THENS

Davie is mostly being known for being the frontman for a band called HE/\THENS, an largely popular rock/punk band with industrial influence and is known for their positive and uplifting lyrics that strongly contrast with their sound. He started the band with the bassist, who he met in college/film school. He dropped out to do the band full time just before finishing his degree. Him and the bassist work on all their music videos together, which are often somewhat minimalist and attempt to visualize the strong contrast between the band's harsh sound and positive message. They've put out several studio albums, and have toured with many major bands of several different genres.

Some of the band, including Davie especially, had become pretty disillusioned and detached from the chaotic touring life, not to mention a bit offput intensity of some of their fans after a couple creeping incidents. All of which is likely a large infulence for the band's decision to go on an 'indefinite hiatus.' They will still do benefits and music festivals here and there, so they're not really broken up, but officially speaking, they're not currently touring or producing any albums nor have they any plans to do so any time soon. Secretly, Davie is still writing an album and they do practice together here and there, but it's not top priority or anything.

In the meantime, most of the band members have taken up other jobs and hobbies. One of them is playing in a band they used to tour with after a member got injured, another is a game and music streamer, Davie will pop in on their streams sometimes as a guest. Davie has taken to a fairly lowkey job at a record shop in his neighborhood in Bismarck.
