Female Kenku Mystic, who even knows what her deal is.
She was born to yet another flock of yet again cursed Kenku, getting by by scraping together whatever bit of worth from the gutters as one can. Ever since then she had a very curious mind, but with the curse of her kind it brought her nothing but frustration because she could never ask why something was specifically this or that.
She left home eventually in hopes of finding some way to get around this, some way to learn exactly what she wanted to learn about, and how to speak her mind freely. One day she met a strange man in a town, a strange man with stranger talents. He tried to tell her to go away, but she wouldn't let go until he took her in to teach her these strange things he did that she didn't understand. That's how she met her mentor Elias, a travelling mystic, who very much kept to himself most of the time.
He told her that to unlock psychic abilities like his own, she would have to go through some rather severe training so she could leave all her ties to the world behind. One cannot fill an already full glass with water - to learn something new, you must first be able to let go of what holds you back.
Years went by as she travelled the world with him, only visiting a city or town once every few weeks or months. Under his guidance she learned how to manipulate the physical world around her with nothing but her mind, to the point where she could relocate herself in the world with a mere thought. It was then when her mentor somewhat abandoned her in the next best city, knowing very well that there was nothing he could teach her anymore, and she still had so many questions.
She went on in search of answers, and somehow this search landed her under a pile of assorted items in a weirdly messy shop, where a group of clearly adventurers had just entered. So she decided to follow,....
When asked her name, she will answer with nothing but silence, and when asked to write her name, she notes it down with a caesura, again, representing silence. She refuses to listen to any other name given to her as well, which makes communication a bit of a chore sometimes. Vocally she is very quiet, unless she knows just the right phrase to mimic, or sees a chance to fool some people. She prefers to speak through simple gestures and expressions, but if everything else fails to bring her intention across, she will resort to telepathy to speak to one's mind directly. She doesn't like to do that though because usually people's reaction to telepathy is confusion, and that's not helpful at all....
