Bio

Josh MacIntosh is a man on a mission. That mission is to defend the powerless from the powerful.

After an event last summer that he would rather not mention, Josh found himself digging into magic, trying to figure out just what the deal was with it. That digging drew the attention of the local argenvir and of Mythikos. Confronted by the latter, Josh explained that he wanted to learn how to defend himself and others against sketchy spellcasters, to prevent a repeat of the traumatizing event, even though Josh himself was not particularly powerful. Mythikos agreed to put Josh in contact with people who could train him, and now sends Josh to investigate occasional magical threats.

One of these occasional threats turned into a consistent problem. Now Josh has to overcome his weaknesses, both physical and mental, to stop a man with fanatical views on magic use and the power to act on them.

Josh is a highly antisocial type and very studious and intelligent, but overly self-reliant. He hates it when other people try to help him, especially those with little knowledge of what he does. His sense of duty is the main driving factor in his decision-making.
