Do not be fooled by Lola's big eyes, pink hair, and baby face because people usually describe her as an odd soul and a withdrawn person. Her parents state that ever since she was born, she seemed to go into dream-like states at random times. Even when she was a child she was asked about these 'trances' and she simply stated everything around her seems so surreal at those times. Due to never receiving help for this and growing up with it she still sometimes stares off into space for long amounts of time and lacks any emotion or alertness while she is in this state. Most times due to this she has a really calm demeanor and outlook upon things. However, due to having these 'trances' every now and then people seemingly label her as a reserved person. Once you get to know her, she is very irresponsible about her life once in this dream-like state. She seems to get "sucked into" things a lot to the point she forgets about herself and the needs of others. This happens especially if she loves doing stuff that makes her happy and relaxed such as taxidermy, drawing, or even listening to music. Thankfully, these trances seem to happen less over time, however, they do seem to happen every now and then to her. She had an isolated childhood. The only contact she had with other people was with her parents, her grandfather, and the neighbor's son Kรฅre. This, later on, would make her very introverted in the sense of she did not crave socializing like the normal person. This lead her to decide to have a select few friends in her small town. She chooses who she talks to wisely, however, if you were to strike up an interesting conversation with her you could befriend her, in time. Her obsession with death and decay started roughly in her childhood. Her only friend, Kรฅre, shared this interest too, albeitย more violently. They would often collect bones together, share them together, and even craft small trinkets out of them. This passion would later on fuel her interest for taxidermy which she would, later on, try to turn into a small career. Unfortunately,ย Kรฅre was taken off to jail at twelve years of age. After that lil old Lola swore to herself to she would find a cure for Kรฅre's illness. She started collecting newspaper cut-outs about Kรฅre's court case which lead off into her reading more about different murders and serial killers. This led her to have an obsessionย nature in her teen years with it reading and watching anything about killers, both fictional and real, in hopes of one day curing her childhood friend. She would later on become so obsessive over it she would break out a convicted murderer, Jacky, out of a local asylum to "Pick the mind of a murderer." Her relationship with her grandpa definitely impacted her life. She was the apple of her grandfather's eye and he was the only one who helped her with powers she didn't even know she had. An early sign of a witch in childhood is believed the be witch is often in a dream-like state. A key sign of a Vitam Mortem Witch is the natural grasping of death and life at a young age which meant if this theory was true Lola could have powers that can somewhat alter life or death or even both. However, if she was one these powers would only be triggered by a life-death experience. Being there no known age for this event could take place he taught Lola about her kind and the history behind them. He encouraged her more to collect bones and taught her to tend flowers and trees that she happily cared for later in her life. The death of her grandpa impacted her the most. After his death, she ran out in the forest to be alone. There she took the pain of his loss on herself and she was later on found by her mother with a bloodied head and unconscious. During the time she was passed out she saw many forms of herself, the main one being a living corpse. This incident she would blame for her powers and her brain's needs for many things to be done a certain way. Her self image upon herself is more than lacking, she also blames on that incident. She believes that she is naturally worthless among others no matter her powers. She does not hold this belief to anyone else since she does see a purpose in everyone, except for "mindless sheep who follow the herd". She states that she hates how she was born feminine which stereotypically makes her seem like she is weak and naive and she feels people do not take her seriously because of this. She does a lot of things to cover up her feminine traits. She acts like she has no emotions sometimes and rarely cries in hopes to seem stronger, which only does more harm than good. She refuses to look at girly clothing even though she does tend to like some of it and quietly rarely even wears it. She tends to wear baggier clothes to cover up her body and even sometimes binds her chest down since she is very self-conscious about her chest and sees no purpose in it. Her relationship with her chest is very hard to explain. She is sometimes comfortable with her chest however most times she fantasizes about ripping it to shreds. The only purpose she sees in them is that she can use it to seduce foolish people who only think with their pants to get what she wants. Above over this Lola does have a caring nature about her. It may not seem like it due to her anti-social behavior but she loves her friends. She does little things to show she loves them by asking how their day was, telling them goodnight before she goes to sleep, and sometimes even drawing them a lil picture of them. She prefers not to show physical affection but in some cases, she may pat your head (if you're somehow shorter than her of course), hug you and if you're very lucky she may sit down and cuddle with you but those are very rare occasions. She also seems to get along okay with kids and is almost motherly to them. This leads to her semi-adopting Angelica in her childhood years and it's often seen taking of Angelica's friends, Erik and Minty.
Born an only child in an isolated neighborhood Lolita Gwyneth Owlet, also known by Lola, was born to Maisy and Amirah Owlet. Her parents tried to give her the best childhood they could give her, however, they always feared Lola would lack social skills due to being very shy and not having kids her own age to play with. They knew that most kids wouldn't get along with her due to her shyness. What they first brushed off as zoning out seemed to worsen as she grew up from a toddler to a child. She spent a lot of time with her mother and sometimes with her father when he was on the job. Her father was a hunter which Lola didn't mind as long as she was warned to cover her ears before he fired his rifle. Lola seemed to grasp that the animals he shot were dead than many kids who would often think they were sleeping or passed out. She often would stare down at the animals in a trance until her father snapped her out of it. Sometimes, if the animals didn't die on the spot it was almost like she would calm them before the death washed over them. While her father was concerned about it he just ended up brushing it off as harmless childhood curiosity. Her mother would often take her over to her Grandfather's house so she could bond with him and bond she did with him, so much so she became the apple of his eye. He knew she was different somehow but didn't want to jump to conclusions. According to his spiritual beliefs, she showed one sign of being a Vitam Mortemย witch so far. Her grandfather taught her in secret about witches, their history, their powers, and the many types of witches. However he seemingly only taught her about theย Vitam Mortem Witches, Such as Grimm and Others throughout history. Over time he slowly introduced her to more things related to death, such as bones, teeth, horns, and claws which she took an interest in. She was most interested in teeth and bones. She and her grandfather would make necklaces out of the remains. For them this symbolized the animals would live on forever and always have a purpose in life. As soon as she got older enough to handle it he introduced her to the five stages of decomposition. The first was fresh. She was the most used to for this one, since after all, she was exposed to it all throughout her life. ย He did have to show her ones she was not exposed to, such as deaths from violence, sickness, genetics, and other anomalies. Insteadย of showing fear or disgust as any child would, she accepted it, almost like she was programmed to know how cruel the world was from the start. However, his teaching was interrupted by a new face. The new neighbor and their son, Kรฅre. She had never met a child the same age as her in her life so of course she was scared to even talk to him. With encouragement from her family, they became friends. At first, it seemed like a normal friendship but as time went on it was clear, Kรฅre was far from normal. He seemed to be an angry lil brat who threw fits all the time to get his way. He seemed to soften up to Lola and her family over time but remained the same to others. He grew closer to Lola and her interests in things. Kรฅre would go as far as killing small animals due to his hatred for his family and while Lola didn't witness him killing them herself she did know he did do it, often seeing the corpses around him, but she just accepted it and went on with it. She even we as far as taking the corpses to her Grandfather where he would teach her about the rest of the stages of decomposition; Bloat, Active Decay, Advanced Decay, and Dry remains. She would even take Kรฅre along with her to learn about it even if he didn't have the time for it. During that she made him a necklace out of remains so they would have matching friendship bracelets.ย It was soon after this her grandfather was diagnosed with cancer and this turned him into a more religious man than he originally was so the Owlet family started going to church with Kรฅre's parents. After church, Her grandfather would teach more about the life part of being a Vitam Mortem Witch to her, such as caring for animals and other's lives and planting gardens, since he didn't want to think about what would happen to his physical body after he passed.ย Because of going to church, she got to hang out with Kรฅre even more than before. Kรฅre, for whatever reason started having a hatred for a choir boy named Bonabell. Which he later on when missing shortly after his and Kรฅre's walk in the woods one-day after. The town presumed him missing, which lead to a full searching of the woods and questioning of Kรฅre's and other church member's knowledge on that day hoping to get leads. Lola claimed to know nothing of that. It is presumed now that Bonabell is dead after all these years he's been missing which is true since his spirit haunted Lola so much she had to make a vessel for him in form of a doll-like plushie. It was after this Kรฅreย would strike again, his target? His family. After their murders, his crimes against his family were found out about which lead him to go to trial and being sentenced to life in prison. As soon as he was put up on trial Lola swore to herself to she would find a cure for Kรฅre's illness. It first started off as her collecting clippings of Kรฅre'sย ' trail and crime but this leads her deeper to studying anything related to murders and serial killers in hopes to find a cure for Kรฅre's violent needs. Shortly after this, her Grandfather was placed in a hospital due to his cancer progressing. Right before his death, he gave Lola a heart-shaped box which he told her not to open till she saw another form of herself which she waited for it. A few hours after that her family got a phone call, where they were told that he had passed away. This lead Lola to have a full-on breakdown, so much so she ran out into the woods so she won't cause anyone mental harm. There, the result of the pain caused by her loss was that in an extreme demonstration of an upset Lola, she bashed her head against a rock several times until she passed out. Her mother shortly found her and rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced clinically dead for a few seconds before her blood circulation and breathing started back up again, however she did not reagent consciousness so she was in a coma for a short time. During this time she was passed out she supposedly seen many forms of herself in a dream-like state. She saw six forms of herself, the main one being a living corpse. All of them bore grungy pink hair instead of natural brown hair and while some did have some chest tissue others did not. She blames that to have kicked off her Body Dysmorphia because at the time of the dream she had already been through puberty a bit but as it continued it did not meet the forms she had in her coma state. She blames this being the main reason she has a negative outlook upon her chest because not only does it not fit how she perceives herself but her brain processes it as a big physical flaw due to her "ideal self" not having it but yet she doesn't really know which one was really meant to her ideal self.ย After she awoke from her coma, Lola seemed to get less and less "trances" however they did still seem to occur now and then. This stumped the doctors who took care of her since she was not ever recorded with any disorders or even mentions of her doing this since her parents simply wrote it off a childhood quirk that should fade with age. They originally did try to diagnose her with a disorder to explain why she had this behavior however, they could not pinpoint an exact disorder since it did not match up with any know mental disorder so they simply wrote it off as a simple change in behaviors due to being in a coma. Following her release from the hospital, her parents hid the heart-shaped box from her fearing it may upset her to the extreme she hurt herself again. This did not last long though cause after a total of thirty nights of searching her house for the box she found it. Upon opening it the box it's content consisted of a letter to her from her grandpa addressed to her (which you can't read rn cause its currently a wip ;-;), dead roses arranged in a crown, a crucifix, two golden earrings, and two small unknown taxidermized "dolls" eerily similar to two of her forms she seen during her coma. Originally she thought one of them her grandfather made because he knew how much she loved fairies as a kid but she did not fully understand what the second one was supposed to be. Later on, she'd go on to recognize these dolls wear dressed up as her dream form and nightmare form. As soon as her parents allowed it she dyed her hair pink. She was very picky about this because, in her mind, it had to be the exact shade she seen in her dreams. All the types of hair dye were either too saturated or too pastel of pink for it to work which caused her to specify hunt out grunge stores to at last she finally found and settled down with a color titled "Bubblegum sick" which was a grungy but pastel kind of pink similar to what she saw in her dreams. Visting these stores helped her get a lot into her current music taste which consists of metal and hard rock. She would, later on, get into the metal scene in general which would help her unknowingly adopting the look of one of her forms from her coma-induced dream, this included adopting corpse paint in the look too. Due to this meeting a lot of her friends from the scene such as coming across Adelram and Devin at a metal concert, Johnny from Devin's record store, and Micheal via social media due to his band. ย After turning twenty-one she would get a house of her own to focus more on her taxidermy. While the house she lives in is very vintage and ran down it does provide her with everything she wants such as a place to garden, a shed where she does her taxidermy, a few spare rooms for her friends to crash, and a nice forest atmosphere. Although she was happy with her new living space another problem did arise from this which was the vengeful spirit of Bonabell and an unknown spirit who called themselvesย Saywer. Due to being a Vitam Mortem Witch Lola, when she's alone, does have a higher chance of seeing unsummoned spirits. These two spirits harassed her for being childhood friends with Kรฅre until she hexed the spirits into objects; Bonbella being cursed into a doll made by Lola to look like him andย Saywerย being cursed into aย worm on a string. This stopped them from harassing her while she was present however they would still vandalize her house while she was gone which lead her to makeย Peachyย and eventually Sour to keep an eye on them. Adelram and Johnny would join Lola in her taxidermy business, providing naturally deceased animals for her job. She became small town famous for her works so much so a local Priest by the name of Father Apollos would commission her both in her taxidermy and art multiple times for his church. Lola is often known for putting surrealist themes into her works, often based on her dreams and nightmares which consist of natural and unnatural colors, flowers, crystals, and much more. This drew Apollos in commissioning Lola for serval religious-themed pieces for the church thus sparking a mutualness between the two.ย She would then, later on, met Maribelle and her daughter, Angelica, from mentioned church and go on to befriend both of them. So much so in fact, Lola would often have to babysit for Angelica because of Maribelle's work schedule which would eventually lead up to her making Lola the godmother of Angelica and sometimes having to semi-adopt her due to Maribelle's work. Lola when as far as "adopting" Angelica's other friends such as Erik and Minty. One day, Lola and her friends were hanging out at Devin's record shop when she overheard the trial of Jackson La Fay and the tragic murder of his sister, Jacklyn La Fey, on the T.V. Lola seemed to tune out the current conversation almost having one of her "trances" again. Then Johnny noticed how interested in him she was, and jokingly said: "why don't you go meet him?", which ended up giving Lola an idea. After keeping close tabs on the case, the trial ending up putting Jacky in an asylum due to his crimes which was exactly how Lola wanted it to be. She planned to break him out of there to "pick the mind of a murderer" which after months of planning she acted on and successfully broke Jacky out of there. However, Jacky was confused by this. He bore no relation all to her yet she did this? She, later on, convicted him she broke him out due to the poor treatment in the asylum which was partially true, however not the full case. As Predatory Prey's storyline progresses on he finds that is not the case....
