Ripley was born on a farm to a dog mother by a wolf father. It is unknown if he has any siblings. The farm owner viewed animals as inferior and often mistreated the animals he had. Ripley has an unusual sense of humor and a habit of being very blunt which lead to many fights with the other farm dogs. Ripley was always bigger than the other dogs due to his wolf sire which gave him an advantage in fights against the other dogs, but was useless against his cruel master.
One day when Ripley was a little less than 2 years old the farm owner had enough of the fights he was causing and so he chained him up on the outskirts of the property. Ripley tried multiple times to free himself. Occasionally his mother would visit him, but her visits became less and less until one day she stopped coming altogether. Ripley has no idea what happened to her. In one of his attempts to escape the farm owner caught him and blinded Ripley's left eye.
Ripley finally escaped just after his second birthday. He ran until he reached a wooded area with a pond nearby. This is where he trained himself in the ways of the wild. His lack of sight did little to hinder him and he became an extremely skilled hunter. Ripley's years of solitude solidified his rough nature and now he finds most everyone irritating; however, most of his aggressive exterior exists only to hide his hurt. Ripley cares deeply about others no matter how rude he may be to them.
