Grisaille

Grisaille has never been one to draw attention to herself; her mother taught her better than that. Now, Grisaille, don't make a scene. She comes from a long line of "common" mothcats, as her mother would put it – gray, with a pair of wings you'd more likely find attached to a dead bug in a porch light fixture. That's fine. It's fine to be common as long as you have a bit of dignity and good sense.

Most other mothcats don't know her real name and simply refer to her as "Lady Gray" (or just Lady.) No one's quite sure when she showed up. She rarely leaves her hovel. Babbette tried for a long time to befriend her with gifts, but eventually gave up, realizing that the kindest thing for all parties would be to leave Lady in peace.

However, when bumblebuns began to appear at Amity Park, Babb befriended one almost immediately. After a little chittering back and forth, Babb and the bun agreed that Lady could use the companionship, and that maybe she'd be a little more amenable to befriending a non-cat critter.

Since Babb gifted him to her, Sir Beeston is the only other living being Lady Gray wants to see, hear, or speak to. (Which is an improvement over wanting never to see, hear, or speak to anyone at all forever and ever amen.) Now that she has a companion, however, Lady leaves her hovel even more rarely -- especially since she can send him to do any errands that involve SPEAKING TO ANYBODY.
