Oh my god he is so cute!!!! And such an interesting concept! Is this a custom species or?
So I think this character is pretty great! The concept and design are very simple, but that doesn't stop them from being such a pleasant character to look at.
I noticed they're a bit on the fluffy side, even though they're amphibious in nature. Do they have fur all over, or just in a few places. Do they look like a soggy kitten when they come out the water? What does their fur feel like?

I honestly never thought about those things |D He has fluffy fur on his chest, but the rest of his fur is shorter and doesn't get as wet. (Like an otters?) So he'll look wet when we comes out of the water, but it's most noticeable on his chest floof and it all dries quicker than a normal cat's fur. He feels smooth more than soft I suppose, minus the fluffy fur which is soft. He also has scales here and there, most noticeably on his tail and back fins.
