Azel

Azel’s mother was a children’s doctor, and his father was a cardiologist. He was rather wealthy, but despite this he chose to stay humble. He was often put down with how assertive his parents were about grades and school activities. Even with this he did try his best, because he truly didn’t want to disappoint. However he also didn't wish to follow in their footsteps under the medical field; he had the intention to become a painter. When the apocalypse hit he was just returning home from school, his mother and father were out working late, which was the usual, and when it came time for them to return they didn’t. His anxiety soon spiked. He called, but none of the lines connected; when he checked the television, nothing but static. He was absolutely petrified, nothing was working, and he was home by himself. Not long after loud banging on his doors could be heard, the dead were here—he didn’t know what else to do, but climb from the upper floor’s window of his home to escape through the backyards of his neighborhood. He only had the chance to check the office where his mother worked, and what he saw—he wished to unsee. His mother was one of them. He only managed to grab a small amount of medical supplies and find a place to stay till day time. Though, the choice he made lead to the life he knows today. The school, his newly found residence, is now where he works among other children. He never wished to be in the medical field, he was a painter—but in spirit of his undead parents, he wanted to find a cure. So he joined the Lab Rat sector in the series of cliques within the institute. 

Azel spent his days on the school grounds with the other children. As time passed he's often found in the lab trying to help those within the Lab Rat group find a cure against this strange virus that has over taken the world. As it only effects those over the age of 18. Kids are the only hope.

Azel spent two years of his life in this school, taking his 15th year to venture out and find his father. He had seen his mother, his one final wish was to at least have a last glance at his dad. This trip was taken with his close friend, Chad. On this two year trip Azel located his father at the hospital, as expected. Azel's neck scar was the cause of his undead father attacking him, in which he was to kill him or else himself, and Chad would've been the ones murdered in the process. Further more, on finding Chad's elder brothers on this trek, things got worse and they turned causing Azel to be the one to kill them.

Upon returning to the school grounds once more, Azel and Chad met some new friends who were introduced after a rescue. Sadly not long after a large fire occurred in the school building where all the children originally took refuge; this is when Azel made the choice to leave on his own path with a group of friends to make attempt to find a cure or at least something to elongate the human life before turning at the adult age of 18. etc.
